I love the RPF1's. I've used them on a couple different track cars. Hard to beat for the price, quality and weight. Cheap enough to buy a couple sets if you have multiple sets of tires. I always need to bring at least two, if not three sets of tires to the track with me...wets, practice, and race. No way I can afford two or three sets of CCW's or Volks.

So I'm pondering going to 17x9.5's for STU next year. Is there anything that meets this criteria?

* 17x9.5
* Not heavy
* Not violently expensive
* Can be run on all 4 corners (spacers OK, I already have the ARP studs)

I saw in Doug's thread that he's using RPF1s for this but using different ones F/R...

thanks!

NT03+M
18x9.5
2xx/35/18
No spacers
Rolled rear fenders and cut front fenders

What offset would be ideal to get the widest size possible? I'm having a hard time figuring out which offset would work best for me. I want to get some track wheels and tires to replace my stock BBS wheels and Z1 Star Specs.

no spacers will limit you to +27 offset, which isn't practical for running wide tires. +40 requires spacers in front, but will be perfect for running wider tread.

+27's you need 5mm spacers in the front. Probably could fit a 255 or 265 if you pulled the rears a little bit

My track setup is actually an 18x9.5 +27 NT03 w/ 285/30/18s. I didn't pull my rears, but I did have to raise the car to minimize rubbing. This is with 16kg rear springs though...

Maybe I should ask what offset is ideal and work backwards? I'd prefer not to have run spacers.

Usually in the high 20s to mid 30s. Tire size plays a large role also.

I'm not sure what size tire to run, really. The car is sitting on swift sport springs and MR bilsteins at the moment. Coilovers may be in the future if I my skills ever reach them.

18x9.5 wheels

On an 18x9.5 a +35 offset is a safe offset. You can fit 255-285 on them +22 offsets are more aggressive. 255 - 265(might be tight) +15's are very very aggressive. 234-245 and expect some rubbing and other stuff

I run the Enkei RC-T4 18x9.5 ET30 with 265 35 18 or 275 35 18 at the track. No spacers required, no rubbing, no fender modifications needed. Actually selling in classified right now. Don't go below 9.0" in width or 255's. The larger sizes can fit if you find the right offset and spoke design with proper back set dimensions.

R/T Ernie, Factory Body but rolled and or cut fenders right? Did you do the work or can you recommend a shop?

I rolled my rears but am not completely happy, there's a seam in the rear that still gets in the way.

Regarding your rims, they look like RPF1 but what offset?
