The rumors refuse to go away...

I could actually see it happening too, I think it would be foolish on his part, but I could see it.

The Perez to McLaren thing, I wouldn't have thunk. Yesterday I read how McLaren would protenially bring Heikki back if Lewis left. Now we just need Ferrari to bag Massa, pick Micheal up for one season, then give the drive to Perez in 2014. BOOM! Driver issues solved.

well, if Hami is not happy at McLaren, then he should leave. there's no point of staying there and being grumpy all the time. i can't see Button winning a championship for McLaren though, he's not that strong of a driver.

I think he's only unhappy about the amount of money they want to pay him... Hard to argue with McLaren's on track performance. If I drove for them it would be pretty damn hard to leave, there's only one team that could draw me away.

but he's been frustrated with the crew and the race decisions made by the team that might have caused him race win or championship.

it's messed up that Alfonso is urging ferrari to get some mediocre driver cause he doesn't want someone that can challenge him. one reason i never liked him.

Thats because he whines like a little girl...

Where did you read that? Personally I'm not a huge Fred fan, but the dude is the best on the grid. I can't see him not being able to beat whoever they pair him up with... Lewis got special treatment from McLaren in 2007, don't even go there...

I don't know about that... Fred appears to be on his game big time. I'd love to see it though.

Silly Season: Max'ed out!
What is really not that surprising is to C all the scenarios arising as the result of one possible seat coming up for grabs at a competitive team. Hami is playing with fire here and McLaren now seems to B doing same with throwing out Perez as possible replacement. However, for this to B a reality, Ferrari would have to release him since he is in "the academy".

Later, Ken

Quote: ...he is a bit of a kid when his team mate beats him (his twitter feed proves that) and ,yes, he has pissed off a number of his own team... but McLaren has fostered, protected and raised him up over many years and, in fairness, he has produced results...
100% agree with this.

Quote: As for Alonso not accepting Lewis, I think that may be rubbish. After all, Alonso said that Lewis was his number one competition and has been speaking highly of him all year. Ferrari would love it. Imagine having both Alonso and Lewis driving cars with the Prancing Horse.

However, I would be surprised if indeed Lewis does not re-sign with McLaren. He has been loved and coddled there and Martin Whitmarsh practically bubbles every time Lewis' name is mentioned.
And this.

Honestly I don't think anyone can challenge Alonso, he's definitely the best driver on the grid and he's said plenty of times he wouldn't mind if Hami became his teammate again, he just said he never wants anything to do with McLaren or Ron Dennis.

You mean Marussia right?

After what transpired @ McLaren, IMHO I find that hard to believe.

Sad I won't be able to watch F1 live this weekend, I'll have to watch both quali and the race when I get home Sunday night.

On a side note, I will be pounding around Watkins Glen all weekend with Honda-guy and a bunch of other guys from PCD.
