2013 Cars: Bra

Well, it looks like F1 cars for next year will have a bra for the nose..."We have agreed a rule that allows a 'modesty panel', which in effect means you can take the existing cars and exiting structures that have a step and put a cover there," ...this is rather pathetic for the pinacle of motor racing!

Later, Ken

I still feel Lewis would best be served by staying with McLaren. If this is indeed true, then we still have the issue over what will happen to Massa. Will he stay, will Schumi take his place or will another driver take the seat? Silly season is in full bloom.

^ My money is on Paul DiResta ....

I still find it hard to believe that Lewis is making the move .... Wow! .... Gotta say, didn't see that coming. But I've been hearing rumors that McLaren will be using Honda engines when the turbo era arrives. Any truth to that?

Hami's PR man got into his head with the simple message..."more $$$, more$$$ if U go"...as if he needed more anyway...but I think this move is also due to his attitude change now that he has become a big boy...he got tired/annoyed by the people around him telling him what to do like his father , who he dumped earlier and the nanny McLaren who wet nursed him from day one...what is ironic is he just replaced same with his PR man who is doing the same thing but not for racing but more $$$.

Now the heat is on Merc to produce a competitive car for their new "star"...bye bye Schumi.

As for his replacement, well it seems that McLaren has grabed Perez from Sauber (http://www.pitpass.com/47442-Officia...-joins-McLaren)...shortfall for Sauber next year with papa Slim's $$ bye bye.

Later, Ken

Stupid move if you ask me... McLaren has a competitive car every year, as a racing driver its hard to ask for meore than that. I agree with Ken that this move completely money driven, at least it looks that way from the outside.

Can't believe the Perez to McLaren move. Never thought Ferrari would have let that happen, also Slim's money is all related to TelMex, which is in contrast to Vodafone who already sponsors McLaren.

Ferrari should now dump Massa and sign Shumi for one year. Everyone knows Vettel is going to Ferrari in 2014 anyways.

Wow, didn't think Hamilton would switch. Seems foolhardy and makes me think that there's a lot more tension behind the scenes at McLaren than we're privy to. My favorite, though highly unlikely, scenario for now is Schumi & Alguesari @ Sauber next year.

Oh wow, Niki Lauda gets a management role at Mercedes? Guess they felt they needed their own version of Helmut Marko. LOL. This should be entertaining to say the least.
