WOW what an impossible finish for VET! What a load of spectacular crashes--pretty much all to VET's benefit.
Most of all, a flawless finish by the iceman. He finally got his win and delivered comedic gold over team radio, "Yes yes yes I'm doing it all the time now leave me alone..." LOL

"Leave me alone, i know what to do" - Kimi, that was epic.
lol at Seb dropping the F-bomb during the interview.
what a crazy race, going to keep this race on DVR for sure.
i was wrong about Kimi's chance at winning a race this year. everything worked out to his benefit for this race. now that he got that race win over with, he can just relax for the rest of the season.
What a crazy race. Lewis certainly had the race in the bag until his car decided to go south. This is in turn let Kimi take the lead and finally, a win. I would imagine that most of those who follow F1 were elated to see this happen. I certainly am. Gotta love his interview when asked by David Coulthard how he felt about winning. Kimi was his usual stoic self, which elicited chuckles from the crowd. Good job Kimi. And, I had to LOL at his radio conversation with Lotus.
As for the rest of the race, well that would be Seb starting from the pit lane, which turned out to be a good strategy. People will call his move to the front luck, but I personally do not believe in luck. In life, we are given opportunities and Seb is certainly opportunistic. Those cautions helped bunch up the field, allowing Seb to make the most of the situation. His pass on Button was classic. I think we all know that had Seb started in 3rd on the grid, he would have run away with the race. Seb proved that he has what it takes to march back to the front. The one thing that really disappointed me about Seb was his dropping of an F-bomb during the driver interviews. Totally uncalled for and quite inappropriate. For me, he tarnished his image and this is why I feel that today's drivers cannot compete with the drivers of the 50's and 60's who were fierce competitors, but also gentlemen and sportsmen.
Webber is a big and I mean BIG disappointment. He gets annihilated at race starts and then continues to fall back. Alonso simply outdrove Webber and made a superb pass. Honestly, I wish Red Bull had selected someone else rather than re-signing with Webber.
On to COTA which I am super excited about. So great to have an F1 back on American soil with a proper circuit to boot. Looks like the championship will go down to the wire. While I was very unhappy with Seb's placement at the back of the field, in the end, things turned out relatively well. Fred gained only 3 points on Seb's lead and given how Ferrari has been performing, RB should be in the catbird's seat.

Seb did take full advantage of the safety cars. when the second safety car came out, i immediate thought about the Singapore race when Piquet crashed to bring out the safety car and Alonso won. Webber did drive like *** today, maybe he was looking for an opportunity to bring out the safety car

NOw to Vettel...pundits R making a big deal about Vettel "coming from behind" as opposed to only wining from the front...he starts last, has all kinds of bumps and grinds, pit stops galore and still manages to get a podium!...what gives U ask?...his great driving skills?...yes, he is good but he also has the fastest car on the grid right now...barring other mistakes, he will B Champion this year.
Later, Ken
Finally my man Kimi takes the win!! Too bad he's out of the championship for sure now
When Vettel dropped the f word it almost seemed like he didn't even know what it meant lol
Webber is just so bad, I lose more and more respect for him every race, that start was horrendous, and his overtaking moves were terrible. Guess RB want to keep him around so they don't get anyone to challenge Seb.
I agree with this, in my opinion Kobayashi is the better driver. Perez is acting like the new Grosjean after he signed his contract with McLaren, I feel as though the power has gotten to his head in that he will be driving for a top team next year...

Yup I do and Perez's overaggressiveness again caused him to get out of the points today...ever since he signed with McLaren he has been off the wall, attempting passes that cannot B made and trying to strong arm his way threw traffic...Kobay's win in Japan was the result of pure driving...not rain and better tire strategy, just racing...today he held it together with no KERS, dodged and weaved avoiding cars and crap on the track and still got some points...Merc is sweating bullets at this point...12 points is their buffer.
The Iceman Finally cometh! What a crazy race ... Hami seemed to be unstoppable, until his car literally stopped. And what's with the crazy number of crashes?!? Seriously ...
I believe in luck, if it weren't for luck, Hami's car wouldn't have died handing the win to Kimi. There wouldn't have been so many crashes, bringing out the safety car that helped Vettel make it to 3rd. Does anyone here really believe that Seb would've made it to 3rd had there not been 2 safety car incidents? No way Jose'! (Hosay)
Vettel's luck continues to amaze me. As some of the best racers have said, "I'ld rather be lucky that good". The kid is a good driver but his luck is uncanny, 1st a fast RB8, then Hami's car goes poof, then 2 safety cars. WTH man .... Is it just me or did anyone notice he didn't go on to the hard compound tires during the race? Is that because of the start from the pits? I thought the 2 tire strategy was compulsory unless it rained.

Just finished watching the race then came here to see what people said. Unbelievable. The kid can't catch a break. It was all luck? At this point Vettel has proven he is the best. Anyone tell me to my face the kid was lucky and I'll put that person on their butt (figuratively speaking of course, maybe
) I think Vettel deserves that from me. Haters shut your pie hole. Hamilton sucks. Vettel caught them all in the same car weber started second with and played bumper cars with.
Luck, un believable. He still had to do what many others couldn't, fight through traffic without crashing.
Congrats to Kimi. Bye bye Hami.

Oh and OMG Seb said the F word. The horror of a grown man saying a word that starts with an F. Civilization will end tomorrow. What a F joke. Looking for any reason you can to hate the guy. Grown men use the F word from time to time. It's no big deal. If your kid or wife hear it it isn't going to destroy them, hate to break this to you but they hear it at school from other kids. I heard the F word when I was a kid and I have never raped, killed, or blown up anything. Get over it.
Gentlemen use the word, presidents use the word, humans use the word, it's a word. Stop giving it so much power.

^ Dude you need to calm down and show some respect to others in this thread! Nobody is disrespecting you, so learn to learn how to talk like an adult or leave.

I'm sorry. I'm sort of socially awkward, think Sheldon in Big Bang Theory. Sometimes I get carried away with my opinion and assume its ok to state my opinion in my own way. I was wrong and for that I offer my sincerest apologies if anybodies feelings were hurt. For now on I promise to ask you guys first if my opinion is ok and if the way I'm stating it is acceptable. Last thing I want is the faint of heart to be offended.
And to make up for it I'm going to say, bad boy Vettel and Kimi, you boys should know better than to curse! Shame on you!

lolwut--you mad, bro?
He's making a pretty reasonable point. Saying the word **** in a live race where men nearly die in fiery crashes isn't a big deal. Kimmi and Seb were in the fight of their careers among spectacularly dangerous collisions. To use colorful words, well--it happens and jesus christ if your child heard a curse word on TV you need to be a parent and educate them to consider those words beneath them or whatever your parental discretion requires. DEAL WITH IT.jpg
