Sounds like McLaren might be switching to Honda engines sooner then we think.

Perhaps this was a factor in the the Hami to Merc move. I remember when Jensen was with Brawn, he said that the difference between the Honda engines and Merc engines was surprising. Of course with the turbo era, that may change.

^ In a way, that is kind of old news. I remember reading that last year at the end of the season. Nevertheless, could this have affected Lewis' thinking in going to Mercedes? This would be for 2014 when the new turbo V6 engines comes, but if Bernie has his way, this will be delayed. Interesting chess match.
OK, this is way too cool. Mario Andretti in a Lotus 79 in which he won 6 races and a world championship in 1979. We only get a taste of the car at the beginning, but dang, do I ever miss the sound of the cars back then. And, here are some other videos of the track from Autoblog:

Yoo-hoo, anyone here? This thread has been kind of dead since Korea. Seb did his usual masterful race, but Alonso provided some drama with his amazing charge to second place. His passing of both Hamilton and Button was amazing and for a brief moment, it looked like Seb might be having some trouble. Not much else seemed to happen in the rest of the race. Mercedes looks totally hapless, right there with Marussia, HRT and Caterham. Sauber languished down in the field and the Kimster had a rather uneventful race. Anyway, on to Abu Dhabi and the fight for the championship.
I'm here. Congrats Vettel. Might be time time for the haters to admit they may be watching the greatest driver to ever drive F1. Sorry Michael.
And to Webber, you fricken HACK! Your only place in life is as Vettel's "female dog" and part of that means to keep Alonso further down in the points. But your hack butt can't keep him behind a superior car? Time to resign, mate.

Kimi's car was 15kph off the Ferrari on the straight.
The Renault has been terrible on the straight all season. Alonso's drive was immense. Other than some decent battles back in the pack, fairly lackluster race.
Hami's pitstop when they changed the steering wheel was pretty cool though.

Agreed! I've never seen that before, I'm surprised the steering wheel hooked up and started working so fast, I thought there'd be a process to link it with the car
Well that's one benifit of dying in your prime. You always stay great. Sorry, I love him like the rest but its statistically impossible for him to be the greatest forever. I would say Michael is the greatest. GASP! Yea, Senna is a great story. Part of being great is not just winning. It's living. F1 is about who can be the fastest, on the edge, and walk away to tell about it. But I understand the emotional tie to somebody that could have been the greatest but gets killed in the line if duty.
The Championship is over...RB has come up with changes to their car such that Karthecayan (sp?) could win behind that wheel...the best driver on this grid, w/o question, is Alonso...just his driving talent has kept him in the hunt...that said, barring a miracle change in Ferrari's car which I doubt will happen, Vettel and RB have done it again despite the hick up at the front and middle of the season.

Even Narain Karthekeyin could win in the RB? Hmm, Webber can't win and he looked rather sad when Alonso reeled him in although admittedly, his KERS wasn't working. If the RB is so easy to drive, then why hasn't Webber done better? I feel this comment is a stab at Seb. IMO, Seb is better than Lewis and close to Alonso. Nobody can deny Seb's amazing qualifying efforts and starts at the beginning of races. He is exactly like Jim Clark. He just motors away.
^ Agreed. The RB is good, but not anyone could win in it. Vettel is flying high with confidence right now, that goes a long way in the mind of a driver. 4 wins in a row will do that for you.
Seb will never get respect. It's the Irony that is funny. Haters say he never has to fight for a win. So he is too fast. Gets a sec a lap on the rest from the start. He needs to slow down so he can "fight" for the lead. Funny almost a 3 time champion yet still Hamilton and Alonso who are getting destroyed by Vettel get more respect. Yea even Alonso. It has just begun. And Hamiltons chances at another WC are over with his move. And some of you forget Vettel didn't have the fastest car the beginning of the year. Alonso was taken out once that wasn't his fault. The second time he cut off Kimi and took himself out. Vettel has fought to stay in it and had problems that wasn't caused by him. He is also a kid compared to Alonso. He will get better. I don't get the hatred though. Compare to Hamilton and his ego and pimp earrings Vettel is a down to earth guy. The guy almost cried when being compared to Senna up there. He has probably the most knowledge of F1. Does he even have an agent yet? Kid probably still lives at home with his parents. Lol Vettel got me into F1 in 2010. The finger I found hilarious. Then how emotional he got when he took his first championship sealed the deal for me. I haven't missed a race since. I'm not taking anything away from Alonso. He is obviously a great driver. Hamilton I think is over rated and looking only at the $$$. BTW webber in the sane car got walked on by Vettel. Like he was in reverse or something. So we have to conclude webber is the worse driver in F1? And when need be Vettel has made some great passes. The one two wheels off track against Alonso last year was Epic. The roll reversed this year and Alonso cried he was pushed off the track by Vettel.
I wish Button would be his teammate though. My second favorite driver. They both seem to have a love if the game.
Keep on hating and Vettel will keep breaking records.

Lets be honest, we all know Webber blows, his time is almost up. But I do agree with you in saying that its stupid to say Narain could win in the RB, there needs to be at least some talent as proven by Vettels dominance over Webber. He needs to go, I'd like to see Hulkenburg replace him.
