Agreed.

looks like RoGro still hasn't learn his lesson. congrats to Kobay. Perez would have been on podium for sure.

At last!...a podium for "the other" Sauber driver!...Kobay and pit crew did everything right and got rewarded for same...this podium ensures his seat for 2013...Perez, on the other hand gave up easy points by being overagressive on first pass of Hami, burned right front, and then just went too fast into corner atttempting another Hami pass resulting in his dnf... better straighten up before U get to McLaren.

Finally Seb is where he belongs.. Webber is just a hack when it comes to starts. It's a waste to put him anywhere on the front line. No matter how he qualifies he should just go to the back of the grid. Be uses none of the advantage obtained by being there and he put himself in the position to get hit. He should have been long gone with Seb. I wish Red Bull could have gotten Perez. Even Button would be great.

Great to see a Japanese driver on podium in Japan.

So are you saying that Weber being hit from behind by Grosjean was his own fault? Where the heck was he supposed to go to not be hit?

Funny, but when Kobay finished third ahead of Jenson and looking at the grandstands full of cheering Japanese fans, all I could think about was a man from Rhode Island-Ken, who was probably happier than anybody. This has got to be one of the best moments both Kobay and Ken have had in the last several years. My hat is off to Kobay for a stellar race.

As for Seb, this is what I was hoping for. Alonso out and Seb winning to tighten up the championship. And, that race by Massa was epic. At a time when Ferrari fortunes seem to be diminishing and when Massa is hanging by a thread, here he goes and saves the day for Ferrari and possibly his job. Kind of the old Massa that I loved so much. I hope he can finish the season like this. Great race and on to Korea.

You can't just dive bomb a corner when there's traffic in front of you.. err body know dat. Unfortunate for Webber, he probably wanted to choke RoGro.

Great result for Kobay, gotta like to see that.

Good race.

Yes, it was special by the fact that he did it w/o having the right tire or rain or somebody else 's misfortune but rather...no, someone else has put it to words better than I: ."Sauber’s previous podiums this season have been the result of careful tyre management, pitstops and strategy but Kobayashi’s was the result of outright pace with the driver qualifying third."...this is not to take anything away from Perez's wins but Kobays race was definitely different from past Sauber races which resulted in a podium.

Now to comment on our crashboy Grosjean...#8 crash at the race start...this is getting rediculous if not out and out dangerous, as if his last antic wasn't the sign of more to come...what does Boullier have to say about the "incident": "He saw Perez next to him and he tried to keep far from him, but maybe misjudged a little bit with Webber because there was a difference of speed, as both were faster than Webber"...yeah, he may have been looking at Perez but failed to C Weber in front of him closing in fast...in F1 U have to look left, right and in front and back of U while driving...U NO, like U were taught in driving 101. My recommendation: take him out and send him back to GP 101!

Finally, Massa's podium should make a dent in Ferrari signing him up for next year...but with Montizem-blow hard U never NO what is going on in that head.

Really great to see Kobay and Sauber get a podium finish completely on merit. Looks like Kobay has finally broken his curse, or jitters, or whatever it may be, as he qualified well, started well, and then drove well.

Wow @ Vettel - 4 times at Suzuka, 4 poles, 3 wins. Apart from the Nordschleife, I've always found Suzuka to be the hardest track to drive consistent laps on - at least in simulations, although I don't expect the real thing to be any different - so my hat's off to Seb. It'll be interesting to see how RB goes around Korea.

As for Grosjean - WTF. Really, what else is there to say?

Banzai! Banzai!
Great drive by Kobe, nail biting finish! ... I found it kinda funny when the last 5 mins of the race was focusing more on the battle between Kobe and Jensen than the 2 drivers in front.

I don't agree with the rumours that Hulkenburg is going to Sauber, theres pretty much no difference between them and Force India, Sauber has definitely been the better team this year but overall they are both in the same tier. And I wouldn't rate Hulkenburg better than Kobayashi anyways. And Buemi?? That guy is long gone, the only driver who has the potential to come back is Jamie Algusuari (can't spell his last name lol)

^ I'll say it again. This is the move that makes the most sense.

I think Kobay will keep his seat after yesterday's performance.

The only thing that could shake things up is if Kimi either quit F1, or went back to Ferrari. We still don't know what he is planning to do. Given the market is rather small for drivers of a Ferrari, I can't imagine them getting rid of Massa. Who else could fill that seat competently?
