Lewis works his magic again. McLaren looking good for tomorrow. Gotta say I was surprised Seb didn't grab pole because he has looked strong all weekend. And, if anyone questions whether or not Pirelli's tire degradation is a good thing, both Mercedes drivers opted out of Q3 to save tires. And, Seb said that the tires will be the deciding factor in the race at Singapore. Even Jensen Button could only get one good lap on the tires w/o degradation and we all know he is the king of nurturing his tires. Personally, I find it ridiculous to hamstring drivers by having to manage tires. Is this about F1 driving supremacy or about an economy run? Tires alone should not be the deciding factor.

It may be tires or it may be how much distance the pole position runners are going to be able to make on the economy tire runners during the race. IMHO, strategy that takes into account tire wear will be key. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Bad luck with Hami's transmission, poor guy can't seem to catch a break.
Schumi crashes into the back of another car (same as last year), this time Jev's STR car ....
Safety car kept messing with the teams race strategies.
The light show was great but I really don't like street circuits with little passing areas and no run off. That stupid "Singapore sling" might as well not even be there since some drivers seems to ignore it at times. Apart from that the race was eh ....

Really bad fortune for Lewis. Had the race in the bag. Seb drove a great race though. Main thing is to keep Alonso from winning, although I would really like him to drop out of a couple of races to tighten up the championship. Both Lewis and Seb have had some bad breaks. Either one of them could be leading the driver's championship. Singapore is fun and all with the lights, but the track is so darn tight and there is no room for error.

Are you kidding me!! My boy finally wins and my AT&T Uverse malfunctions and deletes EVERYTHING. I hate ATT, everything they touch sucks!!!! I may have to go into a local retail store and lay into the innocent person behind the counter just to get this out.

Ok rant done, anybody know if they will replay this? I know they usually replay the whole season after it ends but will they replay the Singapre race sooner? I checked around and can't find anything. I llove this track. Amazing looking at night. Love street circuits, no room for error.

Speed usually replays it during the week.

Gotta say I'm really pulling for Alonso to win the championship this year, all his drives have been perfect and he's been pretty much flawless the whole year in a car that definitely isn't among the best, I'd say he deserves it the most

Mercedes board votes that they are in it through 2020...that said there R concerns over Schumi's rearender this weekend and his performance in general: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/102848 ...don't B surprised to C some changes in team leadership as well as driver even if Hami stays at McLaren.

I have to disagree, at least looking at this year's race. There were some epic passes made (Maldonado, Massa) and I think the lack of runoff is much better than the usual Tilke "tarmac in a corn field" tracks. Nice to see Di Resta put in a good drive and Marussia snagging 12th has gotta royally **** of Caterham, lol.

Gotta say that Alonso has been one lucky dude so far this year, as realistically both Hamilton and Vettel should be well ahead of him in the championship. That's racing, though.

On a separate note, just picked up F1 2012 for Xbox. Got 8th in my first race with FI.

Well, the Weasel says that the NJ race is off and the contract has been torn up. Funny, I distinctly remembering him saying that the Austin race was off as well earlier in the year. Bernie is off to bigger and better things in Mexico and South Africa. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/09/25/e...ix-of-america/

So it looks like the track in Austin got an enthusiastic thumbs up from Charlie Whiting. Can't wait to see the race, although unfortunately I won't be going there in person this year. Maybe next year... <sigh>
