We had intended on going with at least 18x11" rims and a 305-315 tire .... then we found the WedsSport TC105 in 18x10.5 that weight around 18.5 LBS!!! this setup with a 285 will be several pounds/wheel lighter than most other setups were looking at. It also doesnt hurt that they look amazing!

they have a 12mm offset. We have a widebody kit so they will fit with room to spare. Best part - no spacers!

made a mounting plate for all of the electronic on the laser. Bryant (car owner) is an electrician and has stripped all of the wire out of the bay and is remaking the main harness. Its going to be much cleaner and easier to work on when done

Is the CF roof going to have the 2 'MR Ridges' on both sides for aero? Best of luck! Great work!

funny story about that. this car is a gsr so its doesnt have the ridges. We thought we had to "ruin" the factory roof to get the negative so we didnt think to use my MR in the garage for a template. Looking back we could have use mine. At a later date (next winter maybe??) we may redo the mold. For now this will remove a good amount of weight and serve its purpose.

Here it is on the table putting the peel ply layer:

it was laying weird on the table so we sat it on the car overnight to cure:

the bottom was sucked TIGHT!

a few lessons learned:

we were worried about the mold being too flimsy so we threw a strip down the middle for bracing. This made it rock during layup and also slightly warped the mold from the added heat of that epoxy.

Make sure the plastic is square before you tape a corner. we didn't double check both sides and had a couple weird folds that required extra care to seal.

just like everything we'll do it better/cleaner/faster next time
