I would not put a 6 puck on a DD. They suck to drive.

I second this.. I have installed a few and they are just great for DD and performance driving..

So really most people here use the Exedy twin or the ACT HDSS/HD 6 puck,
Anyone use a Competition Clutch twin disc kit on the road course? Unsprung puck twin discs must be real harsh.
Prices on these are very low too makes me wonder...
It converts to push type with that weird bracket.

I haven't yet heard a good argument for using a twin disc for road course duty, for our cars; not to say there isn't one.
Personally, I prefer to keep things simple, serviceable, reliable (relative), and as long-lasting as possible. From what I've read, a twin disc clutch is contraindicated for at least one of those parameters LOL

I wouldn't use a comp. Unsprung disks reak havoc on the trans. And that pull to push conversion bracket they use is wonky.
I like my exedy twin. Been in the car about 20-25k miles now, almost 2 years. Its had it's fair share of abuse and still going. And on the street, it's much nicer to drive than a single disk puck clutch.

Not all Comp clutchs are unsprung. I have their 6 puck sprung clutch and love it. The shop I used to work at pretty much only uses Comp and Exedy (like a 70/30 split respectively).
My experiences with twin and triple discs is that they're typically more stiff and grabby than puck style clutches but really it all comes down to the pressure plate and disc material. The pedal effort of my 6 puck Comp stage 4 feels similar to the full face Exedy stage 1 I had before, the only noticeable difference being that the Comp is more grabby.

The comp twins and triples are all solid disk. The single disk clutches you can choose sprung or solid disk.
My Exedy HD twin feels like a slightly more grabby ACT HDSS.
