Hey.
For synchromesh gearbox, only way to do flatshift properly is using drive by wire system for the throttle. We found out the hard way that anything else will just not work properly. Clutch & Throttle need to be precisely controlled which cant be done using the cable throttle.
On DBW cars, we just close the throttle on flatshift so there's no need to release the pedal mechanically.
That being said, here's our latest evolution, the direct gearbox mount version which offers shifting times from 40-80 ms, same as sequential gearboxes. On a proper dogbox of course.
