I assume its a small-ish radiator right? Where do you dump the air? Do you pull air from inside the car and blow it out to bottom of car or draw from bottom and blow out thru trunk?

Ive been thinking more about a rear rad setup since front weight is 100% my enemy at this point. I was thinking drawing cabin air through the rad (draw thru rad, pulling air down) but no diffuser allowance means I just have to let that be messy air. Dont know what it does to rear lift, but it cant be good right?

Not answering for him, but most of the rear mount rad setups I've seen draw through the rear windows or doors and exit through the trunk lid. I've always been under the impression it's still pretty much a full sized radiator.

PA's is full size with 2 fans that come on based on temp in stages, and I think they still draw from huge ducts in the rear doors. Rawkus is too big time for us now

Well I got the CSF and put it in at 1am this past saturday and I'm fairly happy with it, the only issue was are the bolts they supplied to bolt up the fan are like 1mm too short. But it is a quality piece with some real nice features. I got out on track this past weekend and heat index was over 100F. Coolant temps never went over 215F.

I did remember to get weights.

Those are weights of fan and rad assembly. So saves about 5.5lbs but I'm sure most of it is in the fan.

Also, for anyone who also buys this rad, check the 1/8 NPT plug on the upper tank. I removed it because I put my water temp sensor there for my Defi gauge but the plug it comes with had a ball of teflon tape on the end of it that I'm sure would get sucked into the engine at some point if I never pulled the plug.

And here's some installed pics. For space reference, my intake used to rub on the fan.

The only non plug and play parts about it are you need to wire the stock fan connector onto the Spal fan and you need to use an evo 6 upper rad hose.

gotcha - otherwise just be sure to remove the 1/8 NPT plug per your above post & remove the teflon tape and good to go? idk where the stock water temp gauge goes but that's the one i'm using + the sensor from obd2 & harry's.

Yea check the plug, wouldn't hurt to put tape back on it. Stock sensor is in the thermostat housing.

we have a HUGE radiator. IIRC our entire system hols almost 5 gallons on fluid.

Air dumps out the trunk lid
