Convert trunk mounted wing to chassis mount?

Any reason I couldn't do this as long as wing ends up in same spot?
Would save me from getting another trunk to trash and save me from
making trunk supports down to frame. I don't care about no trunk access.

With a bigger wing the downforce will be a lot greater , so the trunk won't be strong enough to handle that.

Not sure what is considered bigger, but I was considering making new chassis mounts for an APR 67" GTC-300.
Mainly as I won't have to get another trunk, mod it, and paint it.

I'm semi interested in doing this also. Or at least making a mount/pad that would be tight fit right under the mount on the trunk skin.

We spoke about this a little before. The option of a padded mount that you could "slam" it down on would eventually dent the inside area of the trunk, then you'd still have the "lift" at the front part of the trunk. The only way to do it properly is through the body as one or many pieces still.

I've pondered extending the cage to the area, mounting it all properly, then simply buying a dry carbon lid that slides on and clips down. However I'm still currently enjoying my non-active active aero you get from trunk mounting a large wing. The faster you go the more the front lifts, thus decreasing the angle, thus decreasing drag. So I tell myself anyway lol.
