Pointless NTEC chat thread
For example (from the show): if the girls says one thing, but means something else, she will argue 45 minutes over whether or not she said the one thing before she admits she said it but meant something else.
That show is hilarity wrapped in truth.
How about a 2012 Tax day Turbine drive.
Okay, so tax day isn't until the 17 but that is okay....

No. It's not just you. Listen to The Russ Martin show on The Eagle. They talk often about a "mandatory" 45-minute window where it seems no matter what the argument, no matter who's at fault, no matter who's right; they will argue for at least 45 minutes before any real progress is made.

Not sure who you mean, but the host of that show isn't married and never has been. None of them are. One's engaged though.

I misspoke. I guess it was his girlfriend/fiancee he was talking about. "***** better cover his Torino before it gets hailed on" and such. Classy guy.
The part non-listeners don't know, is that his ex not only still has the wildly expensive ring he bought her (which he filed a tax form indicating it was hers now...for tax purposes), she also has his Corvette -- for which she's never been charged with auto theft.
The *true* guy behind the curtain is a guy who created and works with his own charitable foundation that takes care of the loved ones fire fighters and police officers who have fallen in the line of duty. He's also very involved with pet charities.
But of course, the non-listeners who only believe allegations over charges and take the on-air antics of an outlandish radio show host as 100% true will never know that stuff.

That whole incident was (and was proven to be) false. (Helps if you follow the whole story instead of just taking 4-year-old stories of an arrest as gospel. In America, we do have the presumption of innocence until proven guilty, after all.) The cops arrested him without a shred of investigation and the charges didn't stick. Those who listen to the show finally got to hear his side when he came back to the Eagle and could finally talk about it.

Actually, wrong again. It was his housekeeper he was talking about. Also, again, those who listen know that. They also know that 90% of his antics on-air are nothing more than shtick for comedic purposes, kinda like Howard Stern back in the 80's. His co-hosts on the show frequently "out" him as being a "nice guy," despite his on-air shtick.

He got a deferred adjudication. Charges were never dropped; in the eyes of the law, he was charged, arrested and sentenced.
Regardless, I stand by my opinion that he's a creep. I was not trying to start anything with you, Bullett.
That's his on-air persona. As with people who play detestable characters in movies, the man behind the myth is a completely different person. But as with in love, in radio ratings "Nice guys finish last."
You're not the only one who has this opinion of him. As Stern learned in the 80's, anyone who tunes in briefly or only watches news pieces, he can appear to be a detestable, curmudgeonly a-hole. But if you listen long enough, you notice the real bits sneak out little by little. You see the crybaby who can't stop tearing up when he gets a thank you letter from a fallen police officer's friends. You see a guy who tears up while hearing a story of an abused animal. (In each case, he admits to being a p----y on the air....usually to lighten the mood.)
I've listened for about 8 years now and even I sometimes have trouble telling real from on-air shtick. There are some easy ones though...especially when someone mentions his foundations or his charitable causes.
I know. I didn't take it like that. Just trying to do a little to separate the real man from the myth seen on the news. If you don't like him, you don't like him. Nothing I say is going to change that. But at least now you know there's more to him than what's in the news.
