it doesnt take much to beat 600's with a car. 1000's take quite a bit more, and any nitrous/turbo bikes take a lot to beat the older the bike the easier they are to beat because they werent nearly as efficient as the newer engines are. also the newer bikes are pretty light weight which helps a lot.

I'm quoting you in USD, obviously. I have no idea what it would cost over there. I don't know about switching the covers, most of them come as a single assembly. Depending on how deep the scratches are, the headlights may be able to be repaired/buffed.

Same here. I've yet to come across a newer R1 or busa, but I've pulled all three of the bikes I've come across so far. I get some very surprised reactions. Temp tags FTW!

Bikes that are less than 1000cc can be beatable but still will make you run for your money My bike cost me 5k brand new lol cant compare that to any vehicle. A brand new hayabusa is 13k and it will do 200 mph then mod it just a little bit (2-3 grand) and you are looking at 230 mph... good luck if you are going against it with a car lol.

I did mess with bikes all the time with my evo and after 140 on the evo, i have been smoked by 1000cc bikes. It's for fun and respect aspects though, people over here (80%) of them have a **** in their throat and think that beating the other person while street racing will get it out.

Here is a link to a 200mph club

Newer the bikes the harder they become, I am enjoying the bike, just not the idiots out in the road. You have really no maneuverability on the bike so if someone cuts you off, you are screwed big time.

The best thing of it all is that I have all this performance for 5k and RELIABLE unlike my evo ever was... 2nd main reason why I got rid of the evo... No car can beat that

So much of the bike/car racing has to do with the driver/rider that you really shouldn't make assumptions about who will win, just too many variables. I don't street race my bike too often; I rarely get challenged, but I've never lost to any car from any speed.

no doubt cost/performance is much, much better on a bike that part is definately true. even the uber fast hondas (i.e. dirt cheap cars) that get no traction below 100mph have more in them then what a decent bike will run.

Some days I miss mine too. Then I remember what happened to my last one - and that my best friend has one leg. It makes me not miss the bikes anymore.

Yeah pretty much. I watched a guy go head on into a ford expedition at 80+mph. Hamburger meat. That's when I sold my sport bikes. The baby came and I sold my last cruiser.

I will stick with fast evo. Maybe when my kids are grown and out of the house I'll get another one. I always wanted to do a week long trip into Big Bend National Park. Jim and I were just talking about that this weekend.

I hear having children is a blast. Or makes you want to blast yourself. Something.

Let's just say that kids make you grow an immense amount of patience.
