it's like $60 i think depending on packaging. If its like a SSS wing most just wrap it in bubble wrap and packaging tape.

transfercase issues was a huge problem with evo 8's. evo 9's not nearly as bad but i've still replaced a bunch of them. evo X's i have only replaced one due to a tow truck pulling the car front wheels up only. i know Kracka had a problem with his though, and we did have a customer complain about a whine in his (very low miles, stock clutch still) and the dealer wouldn't do anything about it so he traded it in.

i've replaced several rear diffs in the X's though. the aluminum housing cracks and leaks.

Indeed I did...the fluid was over-filled from the factory, but it was covered under warranty and I got a brand new transfer case out of it (thanks Don Herring Mitsu!). The X transfer case is beefed-up over the VII & IX designs so you really don't have to worry about it, especially with the SST transmission. My only suggestion is to remove the fill plug to ensure it wasn't over-filled at the factory.

omg so ****ing stressed. a rental car company here in germany yanked 1k out of my accounts, and i had to fight them with my bank. there was no justification given over it. they just took it. i already paid for the rentals so it made no sense what so ever. that was my rent money. the electric company cancelled my service and i hadnt even gotten there yet. everything is going wrong and i havent even left germany yet.

all this and i have to deal with leaving my girls behind.

Get an American express. I utterly refuse from frustration alone, to deal with any bank issued credit card. American Express is the best

Interesting. After the first 5,000 miles in my X I had all the fluids drained and replaced. And then again at the 20,00 mark. When I hit the 40,000 mark I will rinse and repeat. Good to know though as I was racking my brain going WTF is out there that could be a factor to mess something up on the car. Thanks for the heads up!!!
