And if you're going A6's then you want the 285/30 as they're far wider than the 275/35 (and wider than 295s) and lower so they increase your effective gearing.

I hadn't heard that. I'm still going back and forth on tires for next season so that is good info to know.

Would the sidewalls on the 285 have too much flex on a 18x10 wheel??

I was thinking about picking up a set of 275/35 R-S3s to go on the 18x10s and selling the 245/40 R-S3s I have right now. Upside is getting a full season of autox out of them, and the local NASA events, and have the benefits of the extra grip. Down side is the lost grip for autox. With only one track day under my belt I don't know if running the local NASA events on A6s would be wise, but for autox I can use all the grip I can get.

The other option is run the 245s I have now until they are dead and then get A6s for the 2nd half of the season. If the NASA schedule for 2012 is similar to 2011 that would give me one event on the street tires before moving on to the A6s.

Third option and my favorite is everyone in NTEC pitches in $100 each and I get a third set of wheels and tires so I can have street, autox, and track tires LOL

Get the 275/35 RS3s and be done with it. A6's aren't going to last for **** on the track if you're not used to driving them.

275/35 around town is the least rubbingest rubber you can put on there.

If you want to try out rcomps, then find some takeoffs for cheap ($50-150 a tire) and play around with them before blowing $300/tire.

PTP might have some used NT01s that they'd like to sell, otherwise Johnbtires.com has used Hoosiers

I think it would be a good car to drive back and forth to work. A turbo 2.0L would be even better.

in case you were wondering...cleaning seeds out of 13 pumpkins (that you can get for free right now) takes about an hour... then you have to clean them, boil them in a brine then bake them for a while... to get 4 oz of sees that cost $0.99 in the grocery store.

Wifes are silly.
