freakin bummer

last week i was told that my evo was in georgia and had been assigned a truck to be loaded onto to bring it to lake dallas. i called today, hoping that by some miracle it was here already. turns out the car wasnt assigned a truck and still isnt assigned a truck. i know they have till june 18th to get it to me but im hurtin here. no car means im trapped in this damn apartment. i have been here for almost a month doing the same thing day in and day out and it sucks. i dont know how retired people do this ****.

anyway, im really hoping it shows up next week. i have a ton of things to do and need a car to do them.

also, i have a set of gsc beehives for sale, brand new in box.

oh yeah i forgot about that place. I thought it was just a place for armed forces to store their cars. Goes to show I don't pay attention. There are lots of evos in and out of there.

I live like 3 blocks from that place if you ever need me to run by and check on anything.

on most bases they have a place you can rent a bay and lift and work on your own car, and usually they have a wide array of tools too. is there anything like that around here? when my evo gets here i have to do some wrenching on her

not that i know of but it's something i've wanted to build for a long *** time. i'm sure it is a bad idea as a business investment combined with liability when someone would crush themselves and sue.

Do you still have base privileges? I'm almost 100% sure the base over by Lake Worth has an auto shop with bays you can use.

To all you non-lawyers out there, it isn't really a bad idea, you just have to have the proper waivers. There are a few shops here in DFW that offer this kind of service. At SMU's business plan class, a guy (ex-military) came really close to opening one as well.

Here are a couple of examples:
