Do you guys require the person to be on-site or can remote work out? I'm a EE if that matters.

Onsite. Offsite *definitely* has not worked. The work we do is fairly loosely defined (ie there's a lot of leeway and creative freedom) and if you're not here then it is easy to miss things or not do anything (although apparently it's easy to do nothing even when we are here lol).

Web design is hardly ever strictly defined

some people really dont know how lucky they are. here i am searching for a job, and some clown with a good job ****s around all day. even though im not qualified for his position, i say can his ***. no company needs an employee like that. he probably already has money or mommy and daddy are taking care of him, so why not make room for a hard worker with actual bills to pay and a living to make?

That was tough. I liked him as a person... but this was a personnel decision, not personal decision.

Being the boss has it's bad days too.

Getting rid of a lazy employee isn't a bad day for a boss imo. It's a bad day to be a friend.

Ditto. I've worked as a technical writer before and have had several networking and computer classes and such, just no formal HTML or JavaScript classes. It does sound ridiculous hearing about someone losing a good job for silly stuff when it's in a field I'd kill to break into.

Some people just don't know what they have 'til they lose it.

I have a friend who has experience as a web designer who is looking for a steady job. He has his own business and has done a couple web pages for a couple companies so far. Check out his business portfolio web site here: www.bittozawebdesigns.com

send him an email or let me know, really great guy and I have seen his work. He works with HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL.

I just found this. I will do it like this guy. Looks pretty easy.

That is a very good write up for an install. That is exactly what I was talking about. I have seen a lot of crap jobs, that don't last. Insulating the garage would not cost to much. Especially if you know someone. It will also greatly increase efficiency.

They make the kind of portable AC unit on wheels where all you have to do is provide a vent hole for the 4" flexible duct. Might be easier than cutting a big hole.

For more money you can also buy a ductless AC unit. The kind where you have the indoor part mounted on the wall and the compressor goes outside. You only need a small hole in the wall to pass the duct line and control wire through. Maybe 2" hole.

in germany i had a portable ac unit. it had a dryer hose type exhaust duct you just hung out the window and it was pretty good. cooled the **** out of my barracks room, bathroom and kitchen. i would say the barracks room was about 2/3 of a 2 car garage. maybe a bit more.

been deciding whether to go the 400+ route and made my decision. Need some guidance though :/

Wondering how much power the stock block on the 2011 X can hold? Saw a MAP EF3, everything ported with 3" anti-surge compressor housing for sale, 1700$ brand new, and leaning towards taking it off the sellers hands. Any opinions?
