Pointless NTEC chat thread
Already have an apartment lined up that I'll take possession of in a couple weeks. We'll be down there permanently in October. No idea how long it'll take for us to be able to get another house, though. We have to short sell our home in MI and that's going to wreck our credit for a little while.

Whoa, I just saw you live in michigan, I wish you the best of luck with your home. But I will promise you this: texas pays a **** ton more money than the northern states, im from st louis missouri. Only issue you'll have here is making real friends, they don't exist in texas.

Huh, weird. Most people I meet that aren't from Texas have a hard time meeting people. Honestly, not until I actually started coming to NTEC meets did I meet people who are actually opening friendly to do stuff.
Yeah shortsales do suck. Im a pre-underwriter for citi and its crazy what happens to homeowners credit, let alone the full process of it all.

As for friends, from what I can tell, Austin is mostly made up of people who've moved down from the North, so we should be okay

There are plenty of stupid shady people any where you go but we have some good people here as well.

I have lived around here most of my life and the worst things seems to be the heat and the drivers!
Austin is a fun city with lots of concerts and festivals. The city also has many bike trails etc. If you are into that.
Then may've im just unlucky. Plus the women here are 10x more beautiful than the women up north but play so hard to get. Normally the amount of women I would have up north is are half as many down here. Kinda depressing, but atleast the women here have money.
Edit: WTB woman with good credit
@ otter be sure to request HAFA from you mortgage investor. HAFA is home affordable foreclosure alternative which is where the banks give you an incentive to help you move out of the home and into a new place. The average incentive is $3000 but if the homeowner requests it, which usually never happens cuz homeowners don't know about it, by law banks are required to give you the max inventive which is alot higher than $3000 usually. But remember, you must qualify first to get it

Some of them are worth it though. But hell, I dont even live there just yet but last friday night was pretty good and I didnt even do anything but visiting a starbucks to get coffee and ended up picking up a girl from there. Not bragging... Trust me, i dont have self conscience issues, just proving a point. Even by just driving around I was able to observe many beautiful girls, hitting up the mall to scout was great as well. I was at the parkway mall and I liked what I saw. As far as making friends go, its same **** different place. You will have your shady people and your real nice people. I met a couple of people from Dallas over at U of A and yea... 80% of them are sitting at the IQ of single digits but I cannot stand college kids to begin with (even though I am still in college). I can only speak for the people who came over to the NTEC Mike Anderson BBQ last weekend, they were all real nice and good people that you can just chill out and chat with ease. I am not saying that the only good people are in NTEC in the whole Dallas area, you need a bit of luck I assume and expand your horizon by going to different places and what not. Go chill out a bar/starbucks or work place and you are bound to know more people and find some decent people to hang out with.

You may he thinking of the HAMP program. Actually its primarily the responsible homeowners that qualify for HAFA. As long as you're current or close to current on your mortgage and you're doing a shortsale or deed in lieu you qualify for HAFA. I highly recommend you call about it for the max incentive. By law they have to give you max if you qualify and ask for it
I would definitely agree that the women are a lot better. Not as good as cali but still. Hard to get part is easy to deal with, dont focus on one girl and you'll be fine

I agree with you about the women, however, its crazy how many women here are cosmetically dependent. I've never seen so much weave/make up/fake eye lashes all on one girl in my life until I moved to dallas. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

I've been here less than two years and have plenty already...
