What tires are you running? The DTC30's will have major bite and you will need big sticky tires to handle it. DTC70's are way too much for street tires (I've tried it with Star Specs when I corded my NT01's). I run the HP Blue's on 235 Hankook RS3's and I still set off ABS on most braking zones.

But this review is for road course driving. Not sure if that helps for AutoX.

My dump o2 is even louder now as the bracket that holds the dump and dp is broken and I just got pulled over because it was too loud...

I believe I am the first person in this whole town to be pulled over because of it... I see catless pickup trucks left and right everyday there are even a couple with semi diesel engines in it...

That's because 4 door family cars aren't suppose to be that loud.

I was seriously looking into that pipe, did you get it new or used?

Dumps are retarded; I don't care if it's a street or track car.

how does that make sense? boost control on an ewg turbo is cleaner if theres no resistance off the wg. Recirculating causes resistance, which destroys control over the boost

I won't spend time arguing when others can do it for me.

http://www.amsperformance.com/cart/a...turbo-kit.html

If all three of them default to recommending dumps, either 'properly' is impossible, or you're not correct. For a high HP, large turbo setup, a dump is proper. On a smaller turbo, I agree they're all show.

What if they actually race their cars with the dump, does that still make them wannabe racers?

In all honesty, I agree, I would rather have a straight exhaust than an O2 dump.

I stick with what performance shops recommend. And when I talked w/ ets and ams about going big turbo, they said to get their kits with a dump. Because it gives much better boost control. Nevermind that there's dynos out there in the 8/9 section showing massive power gain on fp black cars from going to a dump from all the backpressure in the exhaust because the airflow is turbulent where it merges together.

Would I recommend it for a DD? Hell no. But on a track-only car such as mine, yea why not if it helps, which everyone who actually does this for a living seems to agree it does.

Does the dump make you too loud for SCCA or tracks with sound regulations (HHR for one here in Texas)? I'm not sure I've ever heard a car with a dump except when mine broke the o2 housing lol.

Well I know SCCA autocross acceptable level is 100 dB at Pennington field. My car pulled a 92 dB the other day with a resonator, gutted cat, and a apexi muffler.

There was an evo about two years ago or so at an autocross with an open dump and when that thing opened up - oh man it was loud. I can only imagine how many dB that was.
