Except the "loser pays" rule now in TX. Makes BS frivolous lawsuits a thing og the past.

Here are some posts I've made in the other threads about this:
I'm in the ethanol industry and this thread makes me
due to all the misinformation people are throwing around like it's fact.
What you guys are talking about is actually what's called the VEETC blenders credit of 45-cents for every gallon of denatured ethanol they blend into gasoline. This does not go to the ethanol companies, it does not go to the farmers, it goes to the blenders (oil companies in most cases).
To address the OP and his thread title, there is no 38-cent tax being imposed on ethanol, you have either been misinformed, or like most the internet, don't fully understand the information you're attempting to regurgitate.

If you're going to post, at least post truthful and factual information. Is it your job? As a contributing member of society, yes it is.
Your money will be going towards paying for the product you use, simple as that. Nobody is imposing a tax on you, they're just going to be charging a more fair market value since the government won't be covering that portion any longer.

Cheaper yes, but our infrastructure isn't able to handle using anything in mass quantities but predominately corn which made it the easy/simple/quick choice. Oh, BTW, most of you don't know this but domestic ethanol producers grind more than just corn. One of our ethanol plants doesn't use any corn at all.

"Stop defending the ethanol industry, they are trying to steal my boxers for e85! Lets hang them bastards to teach em a lesson!"
Felt like an appropriate response there, haha. Any1 wanna run for president so we can have multiple bunny ranches? I mean, i will manage at least 1 of them for free as long as I can live there, get free food, A free car every 3-5 years and free modding for them, I will be reasonable with it... I swear.

Actually, the ethanol industry doesn't set the price, the free market does; just like with oil/gas/corn/etc. Simple supply/demand/speculation... Over the past week ethanol prices have dropped lower than they have been in a long time, give it another week or two for that price to work it's way through the supply chain. With the high price of corn this year margins have become very slim this month.

I am not that familiar with the ethanol market but familiar with the food. If the people who raise the ingredients sell it for more money the industry has to pay more, its just as simple as that. Just a simple thing: When the date hits 1.1.12 the prices on raw materials used for a simple kitchen thong are going up by a few cents thus the thongs are going up a bit.
