That noise shouldn't be caused by the trans fluid at idle......that is your valve-train making noise, when was the last time you changed the oil? what motor oil do you use?

 

While your engine oil interests me I am wondering if you could tell us more about your extensive experience with tranny fluids.

In 1933 , the Detroit Falcons were bought by James Norris. Norris had been a member of the Montreal AAA club way back in the early years of the 20th century. They were also known as the Winged Wheelers and sported a winged wheel on their sweaters. Norris adopted the winged wheel emblem, the red colours and changed the name of the team to the Red Wings.
