Saw an EB Evo on Seton Hill campus Thursday the 16th. Had an AMS front mount. I was parked in the next lot down in my BBY if you saw me.

I think you're the same guy I saw 2-3 months back over on business 30 in front of SeaBase.

Have any of you guys ever had a curbed wheel repaired? I found a few websites offering this service. Any experience? Unless I could find just one stock X wheel for sale, this seems the best way.

I curbed my audi wheel like 5 years back, and was interested in this also. From what i understand, dont they re-weld a bead around the rim then file or smooth it to take the same shape as the rest of the lip. I dont know how close they can get the wheel to weighing the same or being perfect in the means of like balance.

I ended up just buying a new rim.

I eventually plan on getting a good set of wheels, but everytime I curb a regular wheel it makes me glad I didn't. As far as the repair goes, I think they can do a number of different things depending on the depth of the damage. They say it's easier to repair the further out from the center it is. And for balance, I'm sure a dynamic balancer would be able to take care of any issue with a wheel weight.

I got a guy for you. He repaired my bronze Volk CE28n's. All four were curbed and he even did a decent job color matching the bronze paint. Only issue I have is that the paint has since started chipping pretty badly. As long as it is a silver wheel though, you should be fine. Charged me 200 bones to repair all four wheels - steal in my opinion. His name is Walt Williams and his phone is 412-913-6547 .

Hey did anyone go to the pvgp this past weekend? I was there for a few hours on sat. Saw some great cars. It would be nice to have had a setup like the suby guys had.

I was there for awhile. I never saw the suby tent though.... I hung out right around where the starting line was and it was pretty dead attendance wise. Not really any cars on the lawn, but the cars that were racing were pretty sweet. My favorite was an old Maserati coupe that was very remincent of a Shelby Daytona coupe. It was the only car that had a real throaty V8 exhaust...most of them sounded like lawn mowers on sterroids.
