I was also checking into the compatibility of regular gas cans for keeping some around in a can. I have not had a confirmation from a manufacturer that it is ok. Most of them are made of Polyethylene, which according to chemical compatibility charts is good up to 100% ethanol

lol, you guys may have sold me on E-85 after-all.
LOL, dude you remind me of me last season. i tried to justify everything i did to my evo before i just said f*ck it and impulsively bought **** until i had my car exactly where i wanted it. i used to call and pm dan like 3 times a week asking him questions about the perfect set up. luckily he's like the most helpful person ever.

I probably am going to get it done. I'm going to wait this season out though. I have to save up for the Exedy Twin Disc clutch for the winter. Was talking with Dan B. when I picked up my car and said he had an extra one that he's trying to sell with his project car. If things didn't work out he was going to sell it to me for a good discount.

The E-85 will be a nice early spring project. I already have the Walbro on, so I'll need to get injectors. Will this ever end!!!?!??!

Went to the track tonight. ran a new personal best of 11.93

24 PSI
Stock turbo/ stock ic piping/ plugs/ injectors

Has:
TBE
CAMS
FILTER
TUNE

With some better launches and the boost turned up to like 30 psi, no reason why it would run mid/low 11's!

Haha I hadn't actually thought it all out yet as I wasn't planning on going to E85 right away. Do you think they'd give me crap if I showed up to fill the drum in the bed of my truck?

Holiday was talking about getting drums of e98 and the idea stemmed from there. I was throwing the idea out as a feeler and it seems it may work. Like you I am hoping to make the switch in the spring but we'll see...

Maybe/maybe not. How would you get that off the bed of your truck? Thats going to be EXTREMELY heavy. I saw some people saying they rent a uhaul trailer for the day (seems expensive imo). However it would allow easier fill up and moving of the drum.

I helped a friend of mine back in my hometown fill up a 55 gallon drum.....

We went to the E85 station in State College with the drum on the back of the truck, pulled up to the pump and he started pumping - nobody said a word. Now this is back in hickville where its not uncommon to see a farm truck pull up and fill a drum, you do that in wexford your libel to give those yuppies a f-ing heart attack and have the EPA up your *** - not sure the regulations regarding filling drums, etc?

Unloading it was a chore but if you can back the truck into a bank or something it will make unloading much easier.....

I had thought a few ways I may do it... Easiest would be two drums and transfer but I also thought of using straps and a come along to the I-beam in my garage.

Back in the day I had a tank that was a fuel tank from an old rig, it would set on its side on a cart with wheels... that made it a heck of a lot easier to load unload and move around too. I unloaded that using a tow truck but I dont have easy access to one now that I moved

Either way it will be a PITA and I just hope they get E85 out my way b4 then!!

Congrats on grabbin that 11 sec. Pass last night Eric. That's damn good gear grabbin to get 11's with that low mph.

Ya with very little mods that thing is quick , now get it to hit 30psi u can get a mid 11 pass full weight
