[quote=metalsaber;7673969]Just as an update with a couple pics of my Rexpeed Ralliart Lip. Just want you guys to see and make sure that the holes are not there. Again, you'll notice the holes for the undertray, but not the holes that should be there for the screws would go around the top part of the lip.
So I just got a PM from Rexpeed. They suggest me just using the "self-tapping" screws and create my own holes. Personally I'm not exactly thrilled with that idea. Looking to hear from anyone else whether this is a good idea? I'd hate to ruin a $400 lip that I couldn't install/return. So let me know what you guys would do. Keep in mind when I bought it the description said that no drilling/modification was required.

Where did you get it from? Did it post that it was compatible with your specific year/model? If it said it was compatible with no modification required, I would either return it and demand your money back, or say that your post is incorrect, and it requires me to drill the lip and seek some sort of compensation. Rough situation. Good luck with it.
I bought it directly from Rexpeed. http://www.rexpeed.net/new2007/produ....php?serial=99 From their description: Each lip is made from high quality carbon fiber with clear coat finish. Fitment is exactly what you see in the pics. Each individual carbon lip has been test fitted so our customers do not have to worry about fitment issues. No drilling or modifications needed for installation comes with all necessary hardware for a complete install. Available in 2x2 weave only. I've asked them for one that was pre-drilled per their description. I've also asked that if they do not come pre-drilled, they need to update their description.

Well I'd be the only on working on it, so I'd rather not do any drilling as that would be a PITA to get exactly right. Btw, the pictures I posted, I assume you had holes where mine are blank?
So your just suppose to screw that into your bumber? You can't tell me that will be strong! To make it right it looks like you would need some bolts with washers. I've never been impressed with how any front splitter or lip are installed. I redid my APR splitter after I tore it off, and now it's installed to withstand some abuse . Good luck and if you want the lip on right get creative and figure out a good way
^^
Well to be fair, the original lower lip is screwed into the frame along with a few into the undertray. I don't have the undertray installed on my car, but the screws into the bumper are very secure. My major concern is that there are no predrilled holes in this lip. Therefore, I'd be doing it myself which I'm afraid of ruining/cracking the CF which would put me out of $400.

FRP CF is pretty tough you shouldnt have to worry about it cracking if your drilling a hole in it. I was afraid to crack my new seibon front lip as well but it held up fine when i drilled holes on each side to mount the screw to screw it
^^

Thanks guys. Well I've never removed the bumper before and was a bit worried since I'm a one man crew (did I already say that haha).
I got the bumper removed before noon today. Completely unwrapped the lip. I used the self tapping screws and for the most part it went easy, a 2nd pair of hands would have helped a lot. I was short 2 screws but I started on the ends and left the 2 middle ones unscrewed. I would have needed a long extension to do those one anyways. It's only fairly tight. The only way I could see if coming off is in an accident which at that point, who cares.
Overall impressions are as follows:
1.) Overall look that it brings to the car: 10/10
2.) Overall fit vs factory lip: 8/10. It's not bad, but really isn't quite as "flush" as factory.
3.) Installation: 6/10. Better score had there been pre-drilled holes or a 2nd person to help.
4.) Shipping time: 10/10. Used standard shipping and it arrived in 3 or 4 business days.
So I'd give it a overall 8/10 rating.
