I hear alot of praise from exedy twin disc.....although a little pricey seems to
be the way to go unless you are putting down big boy hp and need triple.

On a side not, I'm really debating cams for my IX. Just not sure what to go with...either the Cosi's or the new HKS cams. Pretty much the last bolt on I can do other then a ported manifold's. Any suggestions?

that's gonna be a tall order jeremy.

sorry Steve i just ordered it from Nolimit motersports. They seem to be the best price around, and i don't have to pay tax. My dad can even get exedy and his price sucked! God dam i wasn't really ready to spend this kinda cash on a clutch. . I guess the twin disc will be ready for anything i throw at it.

Jeremy, just curious as to any warning signs before it went, other than the obvious slippage at WOT. Are there any other warning signs that say, "take it easy?" I'm obviously very conservative with what I've done compared to you, but I'm getting up there in mileage. Like you, that's a big purchase, and I hate to be forced to make a decision based on lack of funds.

On a side note:
I just did 311 miles on 11.3 gallons. I was stuned 27.5 mpg!! and it was mostly all back roads driving (hills, turns, etc)....and I even did a few pulls as well. I am very pleased with my car at this point, a little fine tuning goes a long way it seems
I'm a little lost when it comes to people claiming that highway mileage can vary by up to 100 miles per tank. I personnaly have never seen more than 260 miles or so even driving on the turnpike or whatever. (This is going to about 12 gallons, when the light comes on.) Anyhow, Travis, when tuning, all we touch are WOT maps. Sure, you lean them out. What does that have anything to do with cruising AFR's? On the highway, with respect to WOT tuning and maps, the guy running 9/1 AFR's has no disadvantage compared to the guy running 12/1 AFR's. This is because neither are using WOT maps. They are all on the stock cruising maps or whatever they're called. Now if you're comparing WOT gas mileage, then of course there may be a difference, just like someone running larger injectors. Please explain this to me Travis, because I know you know the most about tuning around here. And my gas mileage sucks, it did stock, it did with Al's tune, and it still does with Chad's tune.

Well Brian, you just kinda kno. LOL. Its hard to explain. I had a feeling after my first run up the mountain on Sat that i'd be lucky to have it last the weekend. Well it did for the racing part. On the drive home is when it really decided to say bye. And i will say it went bad fast.

Yes Justin first part done. Now for the intall. No im sure as heck not attempting this myself with such time restraints. I just went to Bariel to see how much and how fast. Well they quoted me $700. Seems alittle hight but i might have no choice. anyone kno anyone that would do it fast and cheaper?

Well onto some good news sorta. Last weekend was the first running in over 30 years of the Polish Mtn hillclimb. Once again the SM class was amazingly fast. I started the weekend chasing my old nemisis the flatblack mustang. Well bye sat night i was sitting .400 off his leading time. Which is way closer then i usually am. So i was excited to see if i could give him a run for his money. Well Sunday came and my second run i get myself to within .050 of his time. At these speeds this is pretty much a tie. Then dissaster! The mustang was running after me so i sit down to watch, and see if he has anymore left in him as i kno i do. Well just a few seconds into the run we hear over the speaker ambulance, ambulance. My stomach dropped as Mark is a good friend. thank god just a few minutes later we get a "driver is okay announcment". It ends up he put his car into a gaurd rail and totaled the car. After this i really had no desire to better my time, plus it started to rain so it ended with another 2nd. I'll give him that one for the car!

Wow, that's terrible about the other guys car... At least he walked away. He did deserve the 1st for sacrificing his car. I totally agree with you. Well Jeremy, it looks like you're the top dog now! Next time you post, I want to hear a first place finish! lol

$350 + S&H. He is located out towards Philly, so i can't imagine shipping being too much.

My friend and I tweaked the closed/open loop area....I basically stay in closed loop longer which results in better fuel mileage. I can part throttle up to like 5psi and it doesnt switch to the open loop side and start dumping fuel....Also closed switches to open loop at a certain throttle % which was also raised so im in closed loop longer....

Also I drive out of boost a lot, as much as i can when im on long trips just to conserve fuel....But the fact i run a lean wot afr I can also keep that good mileage even when i decide to play a little because im not wasting any fuel

There is a lot of little things that can be done......It might be hard to believe but that 27.5 mpg is true, I have no reason to tell stories
