If anyone needs an extra set of VIII enkei's, I have a set for sale for $200. If you want the BS's with them, I'll do the whole deal for $800. I just found out that the X will not work with any 17's. Figures.

Nevermind the Bridgestones are gone.

If you guys thought the Advan's were overpriced for the VIII's and IX's, the Yoko's on the X cost $315.00 a tire at Tirerack. Come on.

jesus, do you get a reach around with those tires?

-edit-

you can get a set of hoosier a6's or r6's for a bit less than that.

oh my, that is a nice new toy for sure. seems like everyone i know is getting a bike lately. i've thought about it, but come to the conclusion that i don't have nearly enough restraint for that kind of power to weight ratio.

yes, i will be there sunday, hopefully sporting some new tires.

i went last sunday too, but had to leave early. they had a lightening delay for about an hour, and i had to be home to cook for the family. so i was only there for the morning session.

Ths STPR is so much fun to go watch. The wife and I have been there a few times and have always had a great time. I woulndt take the bike tho if you don't want it caked in dirt and mud. The spectator spot are all on some pretty wild roads.

Nice new bike also! I had a FZR600 back when i was young. Yamaha makes great bikes.

Cruise to the Highest Point in PA.

ok guys, i have mentioned this once or twice, and you guys seemed interested, and now that the weather is warming up, i think it is time to start planning.

who wants to cruise down past somerset county to Mount Davis, the highest point in the state?

i was thinking of shooting for June 14th with a rain date of June 28th.

there are no racing events going on on the 14th, and for the rain date, there is a flashlight drags race scheduled at zelie, but hopefully, we won't need the rain date.

both days are saturdays, and i would like to meet up at sheetz on route 51 south near century III mall at 10:30am. which is here:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...20084&t=h&z=16

Sheetz
1000 Clairton Blvd.
Pittsburgh, PA 15205

then make the trek to Mount Davis:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...20084&t=h&z=16

here are the driving directions, google says 1 hour and 45 minutes of travel time, which sounds about right. there is a restaurant on route 40 that we could grab lunch at as well.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...570801&t=h&z=9

it's a nice scenic drive, so i think it would be a fun ride, and we can do some fishing right down the road from the mountain. i would suggest good tires, a full tank of fuel, and a fishing license.

my one word of warning is that there are some very fun mountain roads leading in to the summit. very fun, but also very dangerous. as long as people drive reasonably though, i don't forsee a problem.

so here is the summary:

Saturday, June 14th. (Rain Date of Saturday, June 28th).
Drive to the summit.

Meet at 10:30am here:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...20084&t=h&z=16

Drive to here:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...20084&t=h&z=16

Suggested Items To Bring:

Walkie Talkies
Fishing Stuff
Fishing License
Cameras
Drinks/Snacks

i will see if i can find out if we are allowed to grill at highpoint lake while we fish.

let me know what you guys think.
