so my friend from back home is planning on getting a mazdaspeed 6 and all i hear from him is how its the evo killer and gonna be a sleeper.......only mods i have are an ams catback and ams fmic.....should i even be remotely worried?

Ummm...no. It traps about 100mph and with a good 60ft (1.7's) it will be in the 13.4 to 13.6 range. Car and Driver got it to do 60mph in 5.4 sec. and the quarter in 14.0. Your driving would have to really suck in order for it to beat you. Just get a reflash and even if you completely bonked the launch, you'd still fly right by him .

Oh, haha...then your buddy is really screwed . You might want to tell him that "sleepers" typically don't have a gaping hole in the front bumper that looks like it could eat a midget, a very pronounced rear diffuser with 4 inch tailpipes, and a massive hood bulge that is competitive with Mustangs. Those Mazdaspeeds almost make our cars look conservative.
