local Pittsburgh Meet
Hey, Congrats Colin and Dave! Saw the pics on facebook Colin, you looked like hell but at least the wife looks great
!
I'm having the same issue that your describing. Its part of the reason why I was sucking at the flashlight drags. I could not shift into 3rd gear at high rpms - it only seems to occur at the high rpms for some reason
. I keep hearing that the solution is stiffer shifter bushings and a solid front motor mount.

and travis, don't get too excited. there aren't the kind of bushings that you like.

-edit-
and congratulations colin!

no the crash did not have to be modified anyway...it fits nicely with that...however...the plastic undertray had to be trimmed just a tad...nothing major....no i havent done a boost leak test and im not to sure on how to do one.....maybe you can show me someday if u know how...

FMIC looks real nice man. I personally say F uck that undertray. Just makes wrenching and doing maintinence on the car too damn hard. Its one thing if its got real fastners to loosen and tighten but those plastic ****z
I personally liked the APR front tray cause you could unbolt it along with the bumper cover all in one piece with real fasteners. But its a damn heavy piece of carbon fiber and always worried me out on the highway doin some topender's hahaha

i may be up for that..i probably wouldnt get down there til around 7 either
Is that the one I saw you at last year Justin??
hey guys i got a question for you...maybe im just paranoid but here goes....as you know i installed my ams fmic over the weekend and i decided to do some pulls to test it out, while watching my mitsu boost gauge.....i have an evo ix mr.....when i was in 5th gear going about 50 mph about 2800rpm, i mashed it watching the boost hit 1.4 bar, which is normal....however, when i downshifted to 3rd around 50mph about 4500rpm and mashed it, it only went to like 1.1-1.2 bar. is this because of where i was rpm wise? each pull was taken to 7000rpm ....also, would a larger fmic and just a catback cause knock?
