so i went for a test drive yesterday in a Smartcar. i think its an expensive piece of ****. its shifting is so slugish idk how anyone could deal with it. there is about a 3 second pause in between gears not to mention just how slow it is. the body panels are all plastic and its just so cramped. i dont understand how practical that car can be when it costs 19,000 for the regular box and 24,000 for a convertable. maybe if ur getting 60 mpg but they get 41 at best on the highway.

I'm not drunk but drinking too, bottoms up!

We are hoping to stop down. Every other time I've been out his way the meet has been moved to a sunday or just flat out canceled. I'll be out though, with the ebo. I wanted to bring the DSM but I keep it parked in my parents barn in PA because it sucks to be a daily driver with the cage and all.

If we have time I'd like to do a few pulls against travis just to see how much quicker his car is to my basically stock car. I think I'll smoke him because he has a shifts all wrimp wristed like.

Trying my hardest to finish up and make it for the meet - even just on a base tune to put the miles on. We'll see how it goes.

cheers!

i had the good fortune of being somewhere earlier today with an open bar, so i made sure i took full advantage. now i just have to relax and maintain the buzz i got earlier. haha.

this meet should stay on saturday. there are no penguin games, or any other events that should push it back. i will be there saturday either way, i make it a point to do absolutely nothing on sunday. unless there is a racing event.

on a different note, is anyone planning on going to the PVGP next weekend? colin, you mentioned something about it a bit ago. anyone want to meet up saturday and check out the show before the meet?

I raise you one. I know when I PM'd you earlier I asked you not to share these pictures. I didn't want Eric to back out of our race. Now I realize that it just isn't going to happen. I'm hoping to bring it out sometime this fall and we'll have a mini DSM meet! I'm thinking of putting the car in storage after this year and hanging up my helmet. I'm not sure yet . Anyways picturz:

This is one two days before the 2006 DSM shootout in ohio.

This is a video of that event:

This is a video of most of 2006. I used to have headgasket issues all the time back then. I have since learned how to keep the headgaskets together.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OB3yxIo2usM

Then in 2007 I built a motor but sold my 50 trim turbo. I couldn't afford the turbo I wanted at the time, a GT35R so I settled on a stock 14b that I rebuilt because it was seized up when I got it. I took parts from two other mangled turbos to make 1 good turbo. I ran 12.0 at 122 on that. Then I put another 50 trim back on and lost the pistons due to a fuel starvation issue. Back to a stock bottom end for me!

Now 2008. I put a lot of weight back in the car. Cage, scattershield, heavier more comfy seats, more of an exhaust, stupid **** like that. It looks much nicer but its also heavier. It runs the same 11's at 130 as before however it was doing it in some serious heat. It might go faster in the fall, it might go slower. I don't care anymore as I don't have time to work on it.
