SRSLY Dex- teh silencers really work. After I installed my GReddy Ti-C, I thought it was just a tad too loud having a full 80mm TB exh, installed the silencer and that was short lived. Too quiet!!! So I took it back out. But it's nice having the option if necessary. Do it!!

Silencer robs power. I like an exhaust that is quiet and is 3" without needing a silencer.

Doc-

Have them check the turbo too. The impeller was basically hit with a huge amount of water while spinning which can bend the centershaft and also crack the compressor blades.

It would suck to put it back together and then have the turbo centrifuge and ruin the valve seats.

We have seen this servicing our car at 100AW rally.

 

I will still be interested to see if the head is ok. I am surprised they didn't replace the entire motor.
