Sna, just send them the pics and see what happens. I haven't had any bad luck with insurance so I may not be speaking from too much experience. When one of my cars got stolen, I called Geico, talked to the claims adjuster, and had my check a few days later. Good thing you got a police report to help you out. They cannot deny your claim if your have coverage for that type of thing. As far as OEM versus aftermarket, they cannot use aftermarket for your rear quarter damage..haha. You can say that you want OEM parts only! My bro's truck got hit once, and they estimate they sent him included use of aftermarket parts. He said no way, justifying his opinion and they were fine with it. Take it easy with the insurance people, they are humans too. GL man!

So let them look at it, not a big deal. They need to look at the structural damage on the car maybe? Lets hope it all works out at the end of the day, and you get it fixed, or get money toward a new car!

Sna was your car the one with the little bit of passenger side quarter panel and rear door damage at autox?

i can't see that totaling the car. although looks like the quarter panel and door skin will need to be replace...not repaired. they have to remove your entire rear glass, debadge your trunk lid to blend paint and rebadge it correctly and put your rear glass back straight without gouging any of the body in the process. plus you'll probably find that body shop paint will be more durable than mitsu paint.

have they had an adjuster out to see it yet to appraise the damage? if not that's what it sounds like they're doing. they use names and words like investigator and inverstigation into your claim to sound official and probably make you feel nervous if you're really trying to F with them.

^^^yea that was my car at you saw at cpb. they had some one come out to look at it twice and now they are sending anthoer person to look at it for the third time. i just got back from the shop and there is a big hole in the door! the adjuster said "it can be fixed" and the shop owner said "the inside is damaged it has to be replaced, this car is to nice to do a hafe a$$ job" and the adjuster was like show me so the guy cut a hole in the door (*crying on the inside*) and its all the same damages i brought it in there with nothing new. so it all comes down to satae farm not wanting to pay up........

well either way, you have a hole in your door now. i hope the shop proved their point otherwise they will be paying to fix it right. looks like you'll end up with a fixed car now.

what shop is this?

i had some damaged and traveler's fixed it with OEM parts. i have to point it out to people when talking about it. i am a little unhappy with the overuse or sloppy use of seam sealer but that is about it.

why are most body shops in this city usually 3 letters and body shop? AOK body shop TCK body shop etc. And they never advertise or have websites.
