re: new parts vs. old parts.

I'm pretty sure they have the choice to use either OEM parts or non-OEM parts that meet OEM specs, which ever is cheaper. Check and see what your policy says. I don't know how that works with aftermarket parts though.

either way they shouldn't be screwing you especially if you weren't at fault.

I don't think so but not 100% sure. I had my door replaced (2 of them actually) already.

the first was from some tool at an inspection shop who stalled the car driving it up on the emissions dyno. the dumbass had the door wide open and just rolled back.









second time was when a truck did the PIT move on me last year around this time. Wound up with some nice NASCAR style marks on the side.








both cases insurance covered all costs since neither was my fault. I didn't have a preference between oem or non-oem, just as long as the quality was identical.
