marc, have you driven one yet? just wondering. i've never driven an viii or ix.

this dude that tim and i know has a gg ix in his garage. totally stock with 34k miles. people would probably pay a lot for that when he sells it. it is hooked to a battery charger now. kinda sad if you ask me.

 

Ive been in a few x's. The 8's and 9's are a rougher ride imo. My right foot likes my 8, but my *** wishes I had a X.
I know the X guys have issues with the fuel pressure line, but what about us 8 and 9 owners? It happened to me last week and I ran incredibly lean at WOT from it (same day my p/s hose hit the timing belt and ate it) and it blew again yesterday. I ended up supergluing the hose on and using a clamp. So far so good.

 

Hmm, or put the cam cover back on. I love my Zaklee clear cover!

 

It's back on. I had it off because it broke when I started putting it back on after a cam swap. I just left it off and forgot about it. I'm wondering about the fuel pressure vacuum hose. It seems odd that mine keeps blowing off.

BTW, I found myself a tb already. Ported tb and im, and new fuel components in spring!

figured id let you guys all know. my evo is sold. headed to NY tomorrow. sold for my asking price in a week. not bad if you ask me

who wants to know whats next.. deposit is already down, sending the rest of the money tomorrow morning and the car should arrive from miami sometime in the next week.

Not too bad. Just a few little things. The clutch has to be done soon but otherwise it's been insignificant stuff like hoses popping off and my wideband gauge working intermittantly.

 

Zip ties are your friend. I've had mine come off, most recently while autoxing. Luckily I noticed it as soon as my run was over.

New fuel system? Where does it end Chu...? That girlfriend is getting awful ancy, good thing shes not around to see you drop all this $ on your whip.

I want to know why you didn't sell me your turbo before you sold your car? Srsly though, what did you buy? I'm gonna say its not another Evo. You find work yet brother?

in other news, I just picked up another vehicle, its got 4wd and lots of room...



Its ONLY got 140k and lots of dents and dings but the price was right. My company bought the truck brand new in 2000 and they just wanted to unload it before the end of the year. Nobody else wanted it so I snagged it up for a pretty decent price. I was going to just use it to haul crap around once and a while, but I've been driving it to and from work all week and its starting to grow on me. I think I might make this my daily driver since its cheaper on gas and I don't have to worry about hitting a deer (or anything else for that matter).
