. The Evo doesn't get to intimidate them anymore, that's sad. After all is said and done, the true enjoyment comes when we in our cheaper cars get to smoke those drivers with the much more expensive cars out there. The feeling when you break their self image of driving a superior car, just priceless.
grillpt, you decided to go with a clutchmasters? wow finally im not the only one. didnt wana go act bc of potential lockout and couldnt afford an exedy, and didnt want a puck...a lil hard to get used to but now i love it! what stage did you decide to go with? anyone else down for meeting up this weekend or is everyone out bc of super bowel...leme no

You're wrong man...professional racing is on another level, and not like street racing, where power wins. These cars have to make reliable power to last hours of all out racing. Last I checked, evo's and sti's never gave them any challenge on the circuit. Remember the Vettes taking over for 2 straight years? Like the article said, it took more money to make our cars more competitive, so I agree with Matt that this is a good move.

pete,
yea i feel ya on that one. not many evo guys run CM, popular with hondas but who cares about them? I went with the stage 3 clutch from JSC speed. Where did you get yours? they were trying to sell the last two so they gave me a killer deal on clutch/flywheel. its not so much its hard to get used to, its just different. whereas the stocker releases nice and easy, the CM just grabs right away.
shifting from 2nd and up is butter, just took me some time to realize how to drive it in first gear, but that may have more to do with the lightweight flywheel as well. not sure what kinda power your making but ive been running 21lbs daily and im at just over 12K miles and it still feels great. nice choice you wont be dissappointed!
