Almost positive these are the dates for both shows..

Uconn - April 10th

CCSU - April 25th

 

i really hope that i have my car back by then.... :'(

 

Ken I thought you dropped it off last week? I saw it while I was at the base this morning. I hope you have it back by then to. I really hope that I will be able to make it for the 10th and the 25th. I have so much going on next month it is crazy.

 

ya know, im really doubting that its gonna be done by then. plus, im probably not gonna have the money til the first of may anyways. good news is, im getting pretty much everything that i will need to finish it. it's just a matter of getting it all thrown on. found a guy that has the rims i want for crazy cheap up in new hampshire, and my body kit is supposed to be delivered next wed. im pretty pumped. :-) its all coming together..... now its just a matter of getting the funds to actually PUT it together. lol.

 

Was there anybody in Hartford yesterday? Just curious.

On a side note, someone broke into my car Friday night at the movie theater... Alice in Wonderland was awesome in 3D.

seriously. im so sorry man, that sucks. anything stolen? i've had stuff stolen off an evo before. it sucks. atleast you were having a goos time while it was getting done!!!! lol

 

Gotta hate thieves. I hope nothing irreplaceable was taken. Over the years though, I've learned to not take my car to the movie theater or mall.... or virtually anywhere doesn't allow me to monitor my car for extended periods of time.

 

so when are you gonna start parting out the car then?!?! lol. jk. let me know if anything got stolen that i can help replace man. i got plenty of parts around here.... i know quite a few of us do....

 

Sorry to hear about the random acts of vandalism...having been a recipient, it definitely sucks.

On a largely unrelated note:

It is time for me to pull the Evo out of hibernation and try my hand at AutoX. As part of the large maintenance bill I plan to incur in the next couple weeks, I want to have my very stock IX MR tuned. I recognize there is a limited audience that checks into this thread, but I would estimate that you are the best lot to have opinions on CT performance shops. In my own research I have decided that The Shop or EFI Logics would be the best places to have the tune and alignment performed. I have not heard of any recent bad experiences with either shop, most of the experiences I have come across have lead me to believe that EFI has a larger customer base (at least of Evos) and I know that The Shop is less expensive for the work I am looking to have performed.

Have any of you any reason for me to pick one shop over another? Most reviews (of both locations) I have read were related to moderately to heavily modified cars, not so much from the stock perspective. If you would feel more comfortable discussing experiences in the form of PM, any feedback is greatly appreciated.

i can only vouche for "the shop". and even then, i didnt PERSONALLY deal with them. i bought a car that was built and tuned by them. this i CAN say though. the car was a monster. i would NEVER doubt their abilities. EVOJR was the only other one that seen that car before it was totalled, and i think he would say the same thing.
