If we do the 23rd I can prob swing that. Especially if we set a date now and I lock it down.

Unfortunately allinevo is right about people saying they will come then not actually coming. I dont think its an Evo specific thing its just people get really busy. I mean there are the few that are just lazy but you'll have that anywhere. Even if its just 5-6 of us somewhere thats a whole lot more then 2 and I still enjoy it. Ken if you still want to do the fall run maybe setting up a pole with possible dates and have people vote for their choice. The one with the most hits will get the most people. You can base the decision off of that. I think the run that neperkins is talking about up to VT then over into NH would be a blast i just dont know if I can swing it time wise and I dont know anyone else going up. I also couldn't find a rider. Most people dont get the point of sitting in a car for that long lol.

Side note: Dan did you ever figure out your phantom knock issues? I got your voice mail like 6months back and responded but never heard if you figured it out.

Where is Jake? And Kryptic? Haven t heard from them in a while...

lol. oh, it's a monster. better believe it! It's just a little crippled right now. Glad we got the oil problem all worked out. Now i just gotta those those rims on there (Thank you Mire) and buy my front seats. Then we'll be in business to get her tuned up and tearin up the streets!!!!

Ethan, im gonna be honest with ya. I tried to get the Buttonwoods meet thing together, and i've tried to talk to ppl about the Fall run and im just not feeling like there's enough support behind it to do it. I would much rather just plan a normal meet for us again. Like we did at Red Robin.

Sorry about missing the ice cream meet, work has been decidedly unkind to me since early April. I have also been hitting autocross hard all year. It is way too much fun.

10/23 is already booked for me, however if the date slipped to the 24th, I could probably join up for a run given adequate notice. I could also make a dinner meet up after work some day or after autox some weekend.

I would probably be taking my MR2, Ninja, or going for a ride along though. My Evo is down for the foreseeable future. I don't have the time, patience, or money to fix it until the spring time at the earliest, and given that the MR2 is the race car for next year, I will be less motivated to double my insurance premium after winter and run the credit card debt back up.

We should have an AutoX meet up! There was the better part of a dozen 2010 Camaros at the last SCCA event. Even if we can't outnumber them, we can surely run circles around them.

Bryan I know your busy and all but it would literally take 30min - 1hour to install the new throttle body shaft seals and then you would be in a much better state. You could then see if you were still running of waste-gate pressure and if thats the case I would check with your tuner since your using the ECU to control boost and the grim-speed BSC plays a major role in all of that. The seals themselves are pretty cheap if i remember too. $25 at the most maybe? And the burning oil issue I would highly recommend driving it a few times to be sure that it dissipates. I think you'll notice that it goes away quite quickly. When you backed out of my garage it was literally pouring out smoke. Comparing that to when we were at you buddy's house down the street staring dead center at the exhaust to try and see if it was stilll coming out. That was like a 1/2 mile trip.

I know you have your hands full with the MR2 as well though. Either way a few more light cruises with the Evo shouldn't hurt to asses things before putting her away with unknown problems.

I would also be down for an after work dinner or something.

You dont necessarily need somebody to go with you. There are always 2 way radios or CB's going on and usually driving in groups as well...

I know, but I have no free time after work essentially until my Masters degree is done in mid-December. I have 1 weekend day free between now and November (and I am not going to spend that day rebuilding my throttle body). Early November I want the Evo waxed and off my insurance for the winter, so test drives aren't going to happen less I risk all kinds of trouble. So I'll find some time to rebuild the throttle body over the winter, but it won't be back to The Shop until next year. Most of the winter I'll be prepping the MR2 and maybe I'll be ahead of the game and have some time in March to work out the issues with the Evo if the weather is favorable and I haven't broken the Subie RallyXing. In April AutoX is in full force again, and I will be spending tons of time trying to get the MR2 sorted. I figure I might be able to scrounge a few weekends or some vacation time to work on the Evo in May or June.

End rant. (Sorry)

Meet

Alright people-

A few of us met up on friday night and we agreed that we should have another larger meet this coming saturday.

So let me announce: RESERVE YOUR SATURDAY, WE ARE HAVING A MEET THIS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 16TH.
We will likely all meet up for lunch somewhere.

Stay tuned for location and time! We're still figuring out that part. In order to accomodate the most amount of people, the location will be somewhere in central CT. One of us will post more information soon!
