Aww well that sucks!

Just out of curiosity, what are your feelings on the stock rod bolts DG? I've yet to tear apart my block (hopefully don't have to!) but aren't they pretty high grade multi-point cap bolts stock? Look almost like the ARP 2000 rod bolts I usually buy from the service manual diagrams. I know there have been failures, but that was probably from improper tightening at the factory. Just speculation, but I feel that's far more likely than a defective rod bolt.

It's good insurance don't get me wrong, just interested to hear if you've had any related failures before.

They kind of look like arp 2000 but very skinny. There is not much meat on them at all! We will be installing the arp rod bolts as soon as TeeJay has them shipped to our shop. Then we will be turning up the wick. I am sorry for the delay guys but stuff happens for a reason!

To answer your other question, this is the first time installing arp rod bolts in an evo x, we haven't needed them yet until now.

Unfortunately we did not get to tune the car today. We will be tuning the car next week. We are still pumped to get this goal attained.

The car is running well and will be pushed to the absolute limits soon. Stay subscribed.
