Marc, where are you mounting the tester at? Intake pipe? Some people have also suggested mounting the tester to throttle to help expose other leaks, like from injectors and what not. just sayin'

not arguing with you here... just giving my .02.

I don't know why someone would be against it, honestly. Its not like its advantageous for anyone in the class. Its going to level the playing field so there is really no advantage. You can only put so much power down on street tires, and there is a very real point of deminishing returns, as you might recall when I took you for a ride in my z06 back at the wachovia center event. Actually, now that I think about it, maybe thats why you don't like the idea, because you make more power than all of us so you will be the one that is at a disadvantage... am I right???

Prolly....lol. Recall I never said anything about it being a disadvantage. I think its a great idea...just dont care for it enough to push for it.

I was putting it on the compressor inlet, where I always do tests from. I thought about pulling the stock UICP and mounting it closer to the TB, like you suggested, but it was getting late and I didn't feel like messing with it. Its worth a shot though and it will eliminate everything from the intake to the TB as being suspect.

Or maybe you just need to turn the boost controller up?

I had a tear in one of the vacuum lines leading from the wastegate to the boost controller one.

I 'm feeling a little religious today. May god be with you all as you go about your day. May he keep you safe on your daily struggles with life. May he feed the hunger within your souls.

weak. I thought you were going to come up with some theory as to why it isn't fair or something.

BS. you know you care. wasn't it you at the end of the season B!TCHING about how you came in 3rd (or 4th, I forget) to a bunch of slick tire cars. This levels the playing field and will help us all with driver deveolpment because there will be really close competition between all of us.

nice. I'm jealous as a mo fo.
I never made any such claims last year, now you just making ish up! I was rather proud of what I was able to accomplish on street tires. It would have been even better if Ben and Kenny ran SM, more competition.

Don't think I have to worry about too many other cars on the road at 4am. I can see the light coming. You should buy a set of snows Dan, you too could have a smile from ear to ear.

I know you've said it before, whether it was in person on online I don't recall, but that was not the only time you did a little *****ing.

Marc, I'm not very sure about this, but what the turning up the mbc do when you're doing a boost leak test? I'm thinking...absolutely nothing.

OK, I see what your saying. I don't consider that **tching though. I was just stating a fact. I wasn't complaining that there was some unfair advantage, it is what it is... I was on street tires, everyone that finished ahead of me was on some sort of comp. Thats not a complaint.

if you kept the MBC at regular boost, like say 20psi, it would start to bleed off pressure well before you actually read 20psi on the gauge. you need to set it to like 30+ if you want to fill the system with 20psi, otherwise the MBC will start to 'bleed' off the air before you get the pressure you want in there.

I don't think you consider much of what you say b!tching, but others might disagree. I wouldn't call that an unfair advantage though. nothing is stopping you from getting the proper equipment for the class you're running in, the rules are the rules... there is really nothing unfair about them.

Its all good, I was just trying to get the point across that it will be better for everyone if we're all on the same ground. It will all come down to driver at that point and nobody will be able to say they got beat by a guy on hoosiers, it will be just that they got beat, no excuses!

Obviously, the majority of us are under-prepared for the class.
