So thanks to Josh, my intercooler is finally on... Only sat in my basement for 2yrs.

Its the old school BR Deluxe w/LICP built into the hotside endtank. The undertray will not fit without trimming it, so I did, and this is what it looks like now..

From the underneath..

So question is this, should I make some sort of plate to cover up the bottom of the core? Or do you guys think its Ok the way it is? The rest of the undertray is solid as a ****..

I took my tray off years ago and never put it back on. It doesnt seem to do much to keep the engine bay clean and Im sure the aerodynamic advantage is minimal under 100mph. I think leaving that gap is fine. Did you get the pipe to fit better? It looks like the fmic comes with a complete pipe set normally but yours didnt.

I was able to brace it better, idk about fit better. I used some jdm zipties on the lower brace of the uicp, then I rigged a bracket for the brace near the airbox and fan. It seems clear of the fan, and that was my main concern. That noise scared the hell out of me..

Pete what you cut from your undertray is pretty much what I would have had to cut to fit mine 100% with the JMF IC.

I just spend 5 hours on the car doing something that should have only taken 2... and I'm still not done, lol.

that is how absolutely everything i do on the car goes.....even oil changes. i get caught up in something and it ends up taking way more time that anticipated.

it's the people with experience in things that set some unattainable timelines for certain jobs and still can't work within those timelines.

when i asked chu to help me with installing springs, he kept insisting that it would take 2 hours. we completed it in like 4-5 hours. **** happens.....jacking up the car and placing jack stands take a considerable amount of time that we all overlook.

Your JMF is exactly the same as my CBRD, so I don't know why you trimmed it. Mine is on without trimming, albeit tightly.

Yeah and my CBRD intercooler didn't come with spacers so I can't put my crash beam back on, and my ets licp fits like di(k. If anyone wants to help me fix it that would be awesome.
