I highly recommend you do NOT power wash an engine. Use water at house pressure, simple green and scrubbers. High pressure has all the potential to get in places you most certainly don't want water. Engine connectors are designed to keep moisture out, not water blasting by at 2000+ PSI. I've seen it happen to a buddies dsm after I and several others told him it was probably OK to do. It was funny until he had to buy a new electrical harness. I still feel like a dick 10 years later.
In other news, I fixed the catch can, and idled the car for 15 minutes twice. No smoke and the sound I believe is piston slap goes away once it warms up. Oil pressure seems to be good but I cant be sure since my sender unit is flakey again. I have to put a new one on tonight with a remote mount line so it doesn't vibrate to death again. I may luck out and not have to pull the engine. Compression is also up to 160 psi cold which is more along what I expect on a fresh motor.

Yeah I see, just the Zonda R doing a power lap.

Well the new Zonda is cool too, love the sound here even if it is not the real thing:

I'm too scared to wash my engine but it needs it badddd.

James, careful with that ultimatum, I've had that blow up in my face once before and I've also seen another person have the same thing happen to them. All I'm saying is have a plan B in place, like another job lined up, before you tell them I want a raise or I'll quit.
financially we're fine- i'm not worried about another job- especially since i'm too awesome to not hire.

I just watched the Top Gear season 15 special last night. I love how they (especially Clarkson) make fun of Southerners. I wonder if Brits watch the show and assume that all Americans speak in 'hillbilly'.
