There's as many arguments for as against, but I took the relocation side.

I'm a lucky SOB because the PC680 in my EVO lasted longer than the Optima red top in my Z06. Heck, even the cheap little Deka battery I'm running now started the car up after almost 3 months of sitting in the cold (between Oct-Dec) when my car was @ Adams house.

IMO if you're going to drive the car on a daily basis a mini will do fine. Even driving only once a week or every other week should still be good.

I regret not getting the deka because of this. But maybe with my luck i would have been stranded somewhere with it.

who knows.

I'm not a brake rotor expert (chu prolly is), but from the reasearch I've done on the subject 'warping rotors' is a very common term used to describe a couple of different problems none of which are actually warped rotors.

What are the symptoms that make you believe they are warped?

I think you can see the build up of pad material on teh discs. Steel wool, a brillo pad and or some brake clean should remove the build up. I would try that and also try using a TQ wrench in a star pattern when you reinstall the wheels.

someone please tell me if I'm starting to sound like a forum know it all and I'll gladly STFU. I really hate those types of people. with the battery and rotor topic lately I'm starting to feel like I'm playing that roll.

This. I would try cleaning them and rebedding the pads.

Can you even cut slotted rotors? I thought you couldn't for some reason...?

True, the more material the better at managing heat the rotor is. If this was competition, then sure, just chuck the old rotor. For a DD there is no reason to buy now discs if you only have small groves. Once you hit a certain width you will want to replace to rotor

Replacing rotors also shortens their service life, lol

hopefully. Sunday looks like the nicest day of the weekend...

I'm hoping to best my 12.0 @ 113 with the addition of cams & the IX turbo since my last trip back in 07, lol. An 11 second slip on pump gas would make me happy, but I know I'm hella rusty and my toon needs some work... those are the excuses I'm sticking too.

Marc, my synapse bov has been the greatest mod for me in all honesty. But then again, I've had more problems than most people with flutter and surge. I havnt really gone from a high gear low rpm that much because I had to teach myself to drive around that because of all the problems I had before. I can go from 4th around 1500rpm and ease into the gas and I get no flutter or any issue that I got every time with my stock bov. Josh and I were stumped for months. Put on the synapse and I havnt looked back
