If you don't launch these cars, the oe clutch is more than capable of going a long way. That being said, I'm also at a modest power level (301/329).

pete you'll be fine. clutches can last a very long time if you don't slip them too much. I did 38k on my stocker with a hundred or so 1/4 passes.
speaking of track days, Chu are you getting excited?

I have no doubt it will be ok, just not sure how much more it will take. I'm sure by the end of this summer it will be wasted. I remember how bad it was stinkin at Monticello, I don't expect Jersey to be be as tough on it though because Monti was alot of shifting, with many more turns. I'm still not comfortable with the whole heel-and-toe thing, I practice, just not enough.

@ thunderbolt you'll be doing 3rd-5th. For me from the start/finish there are a total of 4 shifts per lap (depending on how you take the corners). down the straight its a down shift from 5th-4th, you use 4th all the way thru 10 turns until you get to the octopus where you downshift to 3rd. from there its all up shift thru 5th until you reach the start/finish line again. Some corners you can d/s into 3rd but I find its better to stay in 4th and keep your momentum/corner speed up.

I do, but I don't drive the car everyday either.. Sometimes its good, sometimes not. Nothing like blipping the throttle, letting off the clutch and shooting forward.. tends to get your attention when trying to brake. Thats what I fear while tracking..Originally Posted by AlwaysinBoost

Your not going to hear it from me on an autox course.. If I had a shot at winning the class, maybe, otherwise its pointless abuse on the car imo.Originally Posted by evremonde

If you did it in your own car, you would hear it! lo, j/k. Chase did it in Marc's car. Then I rolled up next and pussied the launch.Originally Posted by evremonde

oddly enough the harder you brake the easier it (heel-toe) becomes. I think on the street is actually more difficult than at the track because the brake pedal isn't pushed all the way down, so its not lined up with the gas which makes that thorttle 'blip' more difficult.Originally Posted by grillpt
