the question should be how are YOU going to feel when you get a point-by from a $100k turbo porsche!

^ come outta the ghetto to a place where you can drive for more than 1 city block without stopping. Seriously, anytime you have to brake is a potential to heel-toe.

turns in jersey are all ramps and round-abouts, lots of opportunities, but it is very crowded here.

Aside from that, i do have a few secret spots, but those are mostly service roads i used when logging for my tune.

Philly has plenty of fun roads/ramps to play on. kelly drive/mlk dr loop (side roads are probably less conspicuous) , lincoln ave (if you dont mind bumpy tarmac and 0 room for error )

obviously there is no threshold driving going on, but you can safely be aggressive enough to practice shifting.

I have a spot right outside of the city that is over a mile in length, with no lights and barely any traffic.

yup, i drive my car everyday and 70% of the downshifts are heel-toe, just doing my best to make it a natural part of slowing down. I'm sure my syncros will burn out a little fast, but whatever

I really think my neighbors love the sound of it, there are lots of honda boyz in my hood.

I do it on the highway offramps, and what not, but there aren't opportunites in the city like you guys think. Not only is there car traffic, there's ot of foot traffic. Lincoln and Kelly drive isn't as twisty and you dont really have to brake much to down shift. Also, there has been a number of cops i nthe area in the last 2 years. I've been caught there before.

you guys talking about on/off ramps and spots to practice on the street make me laugh. quit ****ing around on public roads that you can't really learn anything except bad habits and do a god damn track day already. once you see what you can do at the track in a controlled environment I promiss you'll never want to drive fast on the street again and you'll be a better driver to boot.

neither can I. what I do is called the clown foot method. basically its using the ball of my foot on the brake and rolling the side of my foot over to 'blip' the gas pedal.

I didn't spin everytime, but I did the one time I launched. I was around 5k off the line. I didn't feel the need to take it off the 6k two step. There was some gravel out there too, and didn't feel it had the traction I would of wanted.

In hindsight, I probably should of at least once...
