Yeah, I wanna know the same!

I can only do one event in June, so I wanna know what everyone's plans are... I would rather do the PCA event as I'm comfortable with them now, but I'll do the trackdaze one if everyone else is.

Marc, are you registering for the PCA event also?

I'm not sure I'll be doing the 16/17. It is my birthday weekend, so I expect to be drunk some firends. I'm surely going to run TrackDaze though. It's a new venue, and some people have spoken very highly of the organizers, so I want to give it a try.

An another note, I drove my car today after letting it sit all week since the autox. Some of you guys have really strong will-power. I can't help wanting to drive my car all the time. She sure needs a bath and an oil change though. I'm ordering an oil analysis test for this upcoming change, so if anyone is interested, please let me know.

1) trackdaze is going to be awesome

2) everyday I drive the corolla to work I'm glad I'm not in the Evo. Getting to and from works makes me want to blow my brains out. (you've all heard this story before).

3) how do you collect the sample for oil analysis? Does it come straight from what's coming out of the drain? I'm asking this because my drain pan has had corolla oil and lawnmower oil through it in addition to Evo oil. I may be interested in doing an analysis on my next change. It would be a good comparo between amsoil and mobil 1 EP with similar usage (street/track/autox). Although running e85 vs. gas a pretty significant difference though.

We send oil out for analysis at the airport when an airplane engine is getting close to the recommended overhaul. I've been told that a single test won't tell you very much, you really need several consecutive tests to look for trends. I'm not sure what people look for when testing an automobile engines oil though.

I opened the garage to gaze at mine last night... She's so purdy, all washed up and clean, would love to drive it, but I'm not taking it out in this crappy weather after I spent all that time washing it.

I can't speak for anyone else but once you are doing 100mph around corners you kinda lose the desire to drive on the street.

I do still enjoy the occasional Sunday drive here and there... and of course I hardpark as often as possible.

Actually I washed mine on Monday right before it rained. I really wanted to get all the brake dust and tire chunks off as soon as I could. Now it seems like a wasted effort to go get it dirty right away.

I got nail in a few spots and had to scrub with a paint cleaner and wax. I wonder if the remnants really show up that much on black cars.

I plan to do that. What I should have done was sent Mobil 1 out for analysis prior to switching to the AMSOIL 10w40. But I will run the next change for 5000 miles, keeping track of typical mileage, track days, and autox. My main goal is to see if AMSOIL's claim to high zinc/phoporous is essentially true. Oil Ananlyzer seem to have specs on 4G63 motors, and can identify what typical wear rates should be. Being my car is "high mileage," I think it would be a good test for me personally. Based on the thread I've been reading, it seems people who sent in Amsoil samples are being told they can leave it in the car for a more extended period of time as the zinc and phos count were still high.
