Pete, like I said, your last run looked really fast until you spun! I think you would have beaten my time if that had not happened.

Kenny, I was ahead of Pete by .5 secs with my second run, and he had 3 runs to beat me. However, it seemed everyone f*cked up in the 3rd/4th run during our heat. A lot of spins into the grass. Chau spun, Pete spun, and I basically threw away my last one also.

I need to buy new tires soon also. The Direzzas are going to go any day now. Tossing the idea of another set, or NT01s, as they are in the same price range. RS-3s are like 200 cheaper though. THoughts?

245's, Since I drive my car alot, I was worried that the 255's wouldn't sit right and wear the edges prematurely.

I don't know what to tell ya.. I don't know anything about the Nittos, but I would have a hard time straying from the Dunlop. Such a good tire, beat the hell out of it at the track and it doesn't seem to get real greasy, makes noise when your pushing it too hard, and wears pretty damn well. Its basically the complete package as far as a street tire goes.

I agree with you Pete. I pushed them pretty good at Friday's event, and they wore pretty well. Its nice not having to change tires at the track, but Thai has been telling me that the Nittos will last longer since they take heat better, so it got me thinking. I have not heard one bad thing about the Nittos, so I'm sure they are capable. For both tires being the same price, it really comes down to me wanting the hassle of changing tires when I get to the track.

get NT01 and don't look back. they lasted over 20 track days in my s2000. changing tires at the track is not a bad thing because it allows you to inspect your suspensions and brakes before getting on track. brake failure at 140+ mph is not a good thing.
