TurboTrixRay, send me my $10! The turbo got installed in alittle over 4 hours, based on Dan's post above. I went for a test drive before putting the bumper back on, so it acutally went pretty quick. Just waiting on the Pistol now!

Does anyone have any opinions on this car? My friend is interested in the car. It has nearly every conceivable bolt on, and it's using some quality parts. One thing that stuck out is that it has an HKS V-CON PRO with 1300cc RC injectors. Both are probably overkill for his setup, but the injectors really seam unnecessary for a ported FP green. I imagine that the HKS piggyback would make it easier to manage those bigger injectors, but I still don't know why he has them. Would 1300's be needed over 1000's if you were planning on running an FP Red/Black, or GT30/35 on pump gas?

The owner claims to have only launched the car three times. The three times were the three times that he went to the drag strip. I found an old thread of the sellers where he mentioned having a race gas tune, but I couldn't find an mention of E85 (not that there is anything wrong with E85). Having a race gas tune for three passes sounds like a bit of a waste to me.

Also all three ACD lights are on. The owner either hasn't diagnosed, or failed to disclose why the light are on. I know that there are variety of thing that can create an ACD fault, but has anyone heard of a problem that was worse ($$$) than a pump? Like a transfer case/ACD? He offered to fix it, or sell it at a discount as-is.

The owner said that Ivey's shop installed the V-CON and checked their work after doing the Magnus IM, but all of the work otherwise was performed by his two mechanic friends. One was a Snap On guy and the other was a Lamborghini Tech. The OEM clutch made it until 25k, and he's had the ACT HD since then.

The guy is the original owner and it has been modified at varying levels since it had 20k miles. There isn't much more to do with this car power wise, other than throwing a big turbo on or building the engine. The owner obviously has a ton of money into the car. If the car was maintained correctly, built correctly and driven well this may be a good buy for 19/20k.

ben, have you looked on autotrader for private sellers recently. i was looking not too long ago and came across plenty of lightly modded to stock garage queens for sale. i'd take a garage queen before i take a heavily modded and possibly raced car for the same or higher price.
