I dunno what to tell you. Lots of people had good results with the program so maybe it's just operator error on my part...

it's not so much as the apps but the GPS satellites are failing. i've notice that the gps trace of each laps are not on the same line. the problem was never this bad when i used the app 3 years ago.

i have compared my laps from gps lap timer vs. transponder and they were with in .01 sec and that's with a 1hz gps sensor. i usually set my start/stop at the apex of the sharpest corner.

^ does that mean you have to actually hit the apex for it to record a lap? if so thats probably won't work for me.

yeah, you have to hit the exact point to start/stop laps. i have tried to use it in students car before and it didn't work if they don't hit the apex. it doesn't work for you because you're too damn fast through the apex

Doesn't the app use GPS signals to track your movements. If the GPS is failing, it makes the app useless, which means I should not waste my money buying the app. This is such fail!

The app is like $16... If it works 25% of the time its still worth buying IMO.

I have it and it works well.

By works well, I mean it doesn't crash my iPhone and I haven't used it yet.

It's harder to track location with the internal 1hz gps sensor, so it might miss the start/stop point. It works better with external 5-10hz gps sensor, but iphone are junk because you can't connect to any bluetooth device. Not a problem with android phones though. I've been looking to get one, just haven't found one for the right price.

I got a bluetooth obd2 reader so I can log engine data and gps and video at the same time.

I'm starting a new plan in a few weeks, and getting an HTC Sensation, which is Android.
