Had Tial + MAF
Have Synapse + MAF

I'm doing SD, and testing both.

I didn't get on Thai's setup like i did Carsons, so its not an apples to apples comparo, but the response and smoothness from the DV was enough to make me want to steal his **** right then and there. the only issue with the tial is that I'd have to retoon my car for SD and I hate doing that. with the syn bov I can just throw it on and be done!

ok, what is the difference between their DV and BOV, other than semantics? I've always used those terms as the same thing.

Yup. Bought it when I was on the stock turbo, and E85. I holds boost like a charm! Acutally ahd to turn boost down when I installed it. On that note, I bet Dan's car could use one with the boost level he's running.

No. Tim is offering it though. Didn't you want in on the group buy?

It's good now. Had to play with preload alittle. Also, our MAFs are different, and my turbo is different. Alot more to consider.

I thought you were offering your tial and I was referring to the tial with surging.

I like the synapse. It's purty and not so bling bling

No, I'm keeping my TiAL. Its not necessarily the bov that is the issue. Its the sensitivity with the MAF sensor, speaking specifically on the VIIIs and IXs here. For me, it was the spring rate on the TiAL, coupled with the MAF and a super fast spooling turbo. I changed the spring, which helped alot, but it still caused the issue. When I swapped to the Synapse, I still had alittle bit of it, and adjusted preload. At the last tune, Petey adjust WGDC and it is very very close to perfect. Nonetheless, I'm switching to SD.

Synapse wrote a very good explanation as to why the car surges and bucks over in the Advance Section. You can surge on the Synapse also. Its not perfect out of the box.
