Philadelphia's Classiest Drunkards
reminds me of something. Last night I was looking thru my PC to see what racing vids I had left after my HD crashed. I found some from May and June. What I did was add up the seat time I had for one month just to see how much it would be.
According to my calculations I did 5 track days in May at an average of 5 sessions per day and 20 min per session thats 8.34 HOURS of track time in May. then I figured I'm at 100% throttle for roughly half that amount of time (estimate based on my EVOScan logs) which equals over 4 hours of my engine being @ WOT in just one month.
To compare it to other forms of racing that would equal roughly 1,200 12 second 1/4mile passes or 240 60 second autox runs.
Double those numbers if you want to compare apples to apples since I only figured on 50% of that seat time being @ WOT. that is a LOT of seat time for a single month. Imagine if you could run 5 events per month for the whole season...

if by 'let go' you mean my timing belt snapped... I think that would have happened regardless if the motor was run at idle for 4 hours or WOT. Someone like Josh, or Petey correct me if I'm wrong please.
When it broke I wasn't even on it, maybe 30% throttle. I've read posts from people that had it happen just driving around, like on their way home from work or whatever. You should keep that in the back of your mind when you travel 160 miles to shenandoah this october.

I need a new furnace before winter. So I gonna throw up a new chimney and put in a wood stove at the same time. Should help me save more money for next year track daysHow bout this weather, if mother nature would have done her planning a little better we could have had a HURRIQUAKE

Car should be fixed in a matter of minutes...
Diagonses: One of the nuts came loose on the back of my metal valve stems, causing it to bounce around inside the wheel making noise.
My buddy is gonna give the whole car a once over for me, but it should be good to go.

Anyone interested in Pocono with RTR sept 16-18? They're running the LONG course which is 2 legs of the tri-oval and the whole north infield. This is a SICK FAST course. I hit 159mpg in my Z06 driving like a wuss there a couple years ago.
Here is the event itinerary:
JOIN US SEPTEMBER 16-18 FOR RIESENTOTER PORSCHE-FEST AT POCONO RACEWAY One weekend, six exhilarating driving and social events for Porsche enthusiasts!
1. Drivers Education (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
On Friday the 16th, Advanced (solo) drivers are invited to drive the IMSA (long) course. We’ll be running just two groups -- A and B -- so everyone will get plenty of track time.
On Saturday, Instructed drivers will join us in driving the double infield (north & south) course, and then it’s back to the IMSA course on Sunday.
2. Autocross (Saturday)
On Saturday the 17th, our friends from Pocono Region are organizing an AX over on the East course. Those driving the DE can also participate in the AX for a small fee that will be donated to Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, Danville PA.
3. Rally (Saturday)
Of course, September is a great time to enjoy our area’s beautiful scenery. So we’ll also have a Rally starting from the Philadelphia area, terminating at the track on Saturday mid-day!
4. Shine & Show (Saturday)
Rally participants and others – show off your baby in our shine and show.
5. Taste of the Track (Saturday, Sunday)
Friends, family, and those who aren’t quite sure they’re ready for DE are invited to Taste of the Track. You’ll see a tech inspection performed, do parade laps on the track in your own car – and finish it off with a few thrilling hot laps with one of our experienced instructors. Please arrive by 10AM on Saturday or Sunday to participate.
6. Pig Roast (Saturday evening)
At the end of the day when the track is cold, all driver participants are invited to a pig roast! Extra tickets will be available for guest and family at $25.00 per person.
